The Bunch Get Ready For Halloween

They had some great maternity photos.

Halloween isn't really anything big since the kids are all now grown, but we have started a tradition of dressing up the animals to take calendar pictures (though T still has fun dressing up for pictures too), carving pumpkins (just for fun because I use the fresh pumpkins to cook up and freeze to use throughout the year), watch Halloween movies and shows, and have our traditional pizza and fruit pizza ( not really sure how that started, but it's been the tradition for awhile). This week we took Axl to PetSmart's trick or treating event. It's nice to have a dog we can take everywhere that's just so chill. He was a little anxious at PetSmart, but cheered up once we were done and took him to Home Depot. He did enjoy his treats he got from PetSmart though.😂 Everyone at Home Depot enjoyed seeing our giant dog in his cute little pumpkin costume though the two people who were going to pet him thought better of it as they came closer. Axl would have been fine with pets. In fact, he thinks everyone should ALWAYS pet him.

Since it's still crazy hot here, we didn't put his costume on until we were about to go inside.

He wasn't real sure about what we were doing

He kept trying to leave 😂

We finally got a decent shot. Look how stressed he looks.😂

He was smiling once we left. He wasn't too stressed to eat treats in the car on the way home.😂

H and baby Wes are doing great. I can't believe he'll be here in 3.5 weeks! The end of this year is going to be busy and fun! C is able to have 6 weeks of paid paternity leave so he's taking off the last 2 weeks in November and all of December. It will be a great time for them to bond as a family. Grams plans on a little bonding time too!😁

D is liking his new desk job. He has a lot less free time, but he is greatly enjoying not going on "crazy calls". He does have a lot less time for You Tube, which he doesn't like.😂

T has his finals this week and then in November will do a 48 hour shift with the Flower Mound Fire Department and a 12 hour shift at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. They are both about the same distance from our house with Denison just being 10 minutes or so longer.

A has been having fun going to her cycle class. She goes with her boyfriend twice a week and with me and sometimes T once a week. The class I usually do with her is crazy hard, but I am slowly adapting. We usually stop for tea on our way home. It's a fun little thing that we enjoy. She has been busy at work lately. I guess everyone is getting their animals all caught up on things before the holiday craziness gets here.

They went tent camping at Cedar Hill State Park.

They went to see Ed Sheeran in concert which was really fun for Wes because he was a music major and he was fascinated seeing Ed play all the backup tracks to his own songs.

They got there early to enjoy the opening bands.

They had a Halloween biking class that they dressed up for. A is Hannah Montana.

Gwenie is doing well with her bandages off. They were a lot harder to take off than I thought. The vet used some kind of black foam/plaster hybrid under the wrap that was so thick the bandage scissors didn't really want to cut it. T had to help me get them off. She gets around pretty good unless she tries to run then she favors that leg pretty good. She is getting pretty spunky when I try to give her the medicine so I know she's feeling a lot better.

There's a giant hole in Gwen's hoof, but in a few weeks the farrier will trim it back to normal and she should be able to be almost back to where she was.

Meet Gary. We accidentally have been feeding him for awhile. People do not scare him nor do lights. He really likes cat food.

The Bunch Say Goodbye

Aunt P picked a lovely cemetery. It was so beautiful and peaceful. For the past 8 years or so we have helped our Aunt P.  We have had numerous visits and conversations over the years, not to mention dinners and root beer floats. We have watched her physical health decline while her mental health was still sharp as tack. Sadly, the last month of her life she had started to have several moments where she didn't know what was going on. We had numerous conversations about her death with her and we are very happy in knowing that she finally has the relief she wanted. The past year in particular was VERY hard on her and she needed help more. D and I would visit almost every Wednesday and Saturday, plus whenever she called for help. It was nice to talk to her. She was witty, smart, knew the answer to just about anything, and did a wonderful job of making you feel special and loved. I once told her that I would really miss our chats when she was gone...I will. I really enjoyed getti...

The Bunch's Streak Of Bad Luck Continues

We made great time on the way there! It's amazing how leaving only 30 minutes later can help immensely with traffic. I wish all the shows started at 8 instead of 7:30.  What a week this was! We went to Bass Hall to see Back to the Future. It was ok. Definitely not the best play we have seen. The boys went with us and since the last two shows they joined us for were The Outsiders, which is one of, if not our most, favorite show ever, and A Christmas Story, which is in probably in the top 6, they were really not impressed. However, we still had a nice time doing something different together.  We love Bass Hall❤️ We had opening night tickets and got a GREAT deal! I went in this week and had my polyps removed plus they did a biopsy. I was more sore and for longer than I anticipated. Yes, the doctor said recovery was about 10 days, but I really only anticipated maybe 3-4. Boy, was I wrong! It's been 7 days now and by 10 I think I will be completely back to normal. Unfortunately, sh...

The Bunch Have A Fun Week!

D had his awards banquet at a BBQ place we had been wanting to try for awhile. The food was really delicious and not greasy at all.  We have had a lot of expenses thrown at us lately. We bought our new appliances , which were well planned for. However, after that we had 2 cars to get repaired, one of which   was decided that it was too expensive and would make more sense to get a newer, stronger, younger one, I have to get some polyps removed, we owe uncle Sam money for the first time ever (thanks to the rule about the year a child turns 17 you lose the child tax credit even if the majority of the year they are 16), and lots of other little things. You know how it goes...when it rains it pours. Since we were unable to take the rv out because of the tow vehicle being unable to tow with a heavy load, more like us not wanting to risk trying, and since A had a day off work, we decided to go on an adventure to do something that none of us ever had done before. We started with...
