The Bunch Celebrate Day 110 of Rain!

The each have a half a bottle of gel and hairspray to hold their buns during their dance recital. Okay, we are not celebrating and it hasn't been 110 days, but we are really tired of it raining everyday. I do not want to be the one who starts complaining about the rain and have the drought return, but please God let us have a week to dry out a little! I cannot remember the last time the 7 day forecast did not include rain everyday! I am developing a lake around my house and I do not even live in a low lying area! Two days ago we saw ducks swimming on the sidewalk! The kids are already tired of summer because we haven't been able to do much. No parks, no zoo, no waterpark, no outside; the only thing we do is once a day take the dog on a walk/swim through the neighborhood. There are so many mosquitoes now from the rain that I feel fairly confident we will all catch malaria or some other horrible disease. The dog is almost as restless as the kids, but at least she can go in

I am with my kids literally 24/7 with homeschool and everyday is pretty much Mother's Day. My kids are always wanting to play games with me, show me that they are thinking of me by bringing me flowers, or snuggling up to watch a movie or favorite tv show. That is not to say that the do not have moments that I swear some evil being has overtaken my sweet kids, but they are pretty sweet most of the time. I pray everyone else is as blessed as I am and able to enjoy your kids while they are young because my oldest is grown up and on his own and I really miss just being able to have small everyday moments together. I still see and talk to him regularly, but it will never be like it was when he was little so I really try to get the most of each day with the younger ones that are still at home.      We have
