The Bunch Trip Day 4-9

Day 4  I am glad we left Colorado Springs early for Albuquerque, NM. It still took more than four hours, we really liked being able to check in before lunch time and having the rest of the afternoon and evening to relax as we please. We really enjoyed the games at the KOA. The kids got pretty good at horseshoes. Our travel days usually do not allow for much down time so this day was really fun. L takes horseshoes seriously. The Bunch Move and Start A Month Long Trip

We had exactly 3 nights in our new house before we left at 4:00am to embark on a month long family trip touring the southern western region of the United States, which was exactly enough time to get all our belongings here and not time for much else. We left with three kids and one somewhat sedated crazy dog at an early predawn hour and started our westward journey to our first destination; Colorado Springs, CO. My view of our new backyard. Day 1:   It took 13 hours in the car to arrive at our first destination.  We were so ready to get out of the car and the park, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, was beautiful. We were way up in the mountains and at night we could see the city lights below. It was beautiful.....what was not cool was we were directly above an army base and could CLEARLY hear their revelry. Finally Arrive! Beautiful Night Views. Day 2: We found out why an 8 year old cannot pack himself.  I asked, " Did you pack clothes that you will wear?" .
