The Bunch Speed Through the New Year

Our house is finally back in full swing.  We not only have found a church that we more or less agree upon, but are back to all our extracurricular activities. The kids are not only taking their gymnastics class, but taking turns participating in a sport and the younger two take science classes at the library. We are back to being busy again! T is the first kid up to do his sport. He picked flag football, which he seems to really like. Unfortunately, the first game was a double header with an hour practice before hand. Basically, we fried in the 88 degree day for over 3 hours! Lots of sun burns! Yes, it is February here, but it's Texas, though to be fair the high for next weeks game is only 58.  I am not looking forward to L's games in May. We will have to remember an umbrella so we can have some shade. She gets her turn next and picked soccer. A hasn't decided yet, but is leaning towards cheer. We just discovered our automatic sprinklers actually go through the whole 2

The Bunch Head to TWU to watch Gymnastics

As one of the requirements for scouts to earn their gymnastics pin, the girls had to attend a gymnastics meet or competition. We decided to go see the TWU girls team compete; for no other reason other than they were the closest!  It had been awhile since my husband and I have tried to navigate a college campus and since neither of us went to TWU we had no idea where anything was. Fortunately, the campus is small and it didn't take too long to locate where we needed to go.  They were competing against Iowa State and the whole thing was a lot of fun to watch. Anytime one of the TWU girls scored a 9.7 or better they would throw shirts to the crowd and A  caught one.  Afterward, they had a hand stand competition that L participated in. The girls were pumped to go to gymnastics a couple of days later since they were fresh off the excitement of the meet. In fact once we came home, that very night they all ran out to the trampoline to practice. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon
