The Bunch Deal With Horrible DPS Waits, Cold Weather, and the Beginning of the End of Basketball Season

Most of T's team showed up to practice wearing the EXACT same shade of blue. We thought it was funny. T always wears the same shirt to practice and now apparently is the trend setter! This week we reached a new level of how stupid people can be.  The government isn't known for how effective their policies are, but instead how stupid and repetitive it is. This week's winner in "how stupid can we be" is none other than the Texas DPS. Let's jog our memories back to a couple of years ago when A was getting her license. Texas was requiring everyone update their license to have the stupid tx symbol on it. This was called "real id" and was going to be the holy grail of proving your identity.  We would submit all the paperwork ( that we already submitted to get the license in the first place) and this "minor" inconvenience would be worth it when we could just show our id and be permitted on planes and have everyone who needed multiple forms of id

The Bunch Stay Well In Spite Of Everyone Else They Know Getting Sick

Maisy loves cuddles. Everyone we know, from our basketball and church families to our actual families, have been sick with Covid recently. My parents have had it, D's parents have had it, our Aunt, C and his entire family have had it, but our family has barely had a sniffle. L did have a sore throat for a few days a couple of weeks ago, but nothing major. The rest of us have been fine, not even a hint of fatigue. This has led me to the conclusion that one of two things is going on. The first is that we are the carriers and are unknowingly infecting all our family and friends as we go about our business or that, the most likely option, is that we still have high amounts of antibodies from when we were sick 6 months ago. I am just happy that I am NOT sick. Covid was horrible and even though this strain is supposedly a lot more mild than the one we had, I still don't want to get sick! It was worst two weeks ever and I do NOT want to experience it again. Apparently, D didn't fe

The Bunch Get Back To A More Normal Schedule

What is normal? If you would have asked me about 2 years ago, I would have most likely given a completely different answer. Normal use to be doing school stuff, running around to various sporting obligations, and going on a couple of big trips a year. We still are mostly filling our schedules the same way, but we go out to do things far less often, choosing to spend more time at home. We also have not had a big cross country trip since the two and a half week Chicago trip that we went on in 2019. We have only been staying at state parks and hiking, which is nice, but we really miss going on farther trips. L wants to go to Florida for her senior trip and I am really looking forward to going somewhere different for more than just a couple of days. We plan to spend time in Pensacola just enjoying the beach and sightseeing around town. We really enjoyed it there when we went back in 2015 and had wished we had more time to explore. We only stayed a couple of days then because it was a qui

The Bunch See C & H Get Married! Finally!!!

Well, after almost a decade C & H FINALLY tied the knot! And it went down NOTHING like the bride had planned for 13 months! C was never interested in wedding stuff. In fact, H was only allowed to talk about the wedding with him on the first Sunday of every month. His only job was to show up on time and enjoy his wedding day with his groomsmen, who included his brother as the best man. H ordered sub sandwiches, drinks, had a ping pong table, and corn hole to occupy the groomsmen's time and allow them to really just relax and enjoy the wedding day. Unfortunately, they never were able to do that. The wedding day was crazy and NOTHING went like it was suppose too! Let's start at the beginning. We arrived early in the afternoon the day before the big day. We were there to participate in the walk thru and help with whatever last minute details that were needed. We basically set up the arbor, chairs, tables, and put up decorations. In other words, we worked our butts off and had
