411 The Walters Bunch

Backyard Tractor Derby.....not really but they would like that. Sorry, it has been so long since the last update. D and I have been literally working on the camper from pretty much sun up to last light virtually EVERYDAY he has off. We really made a lot of head way with it the last four days. We can actually see the end  approaching now. I won't list what we have left to do because it will probably bring tears to both our eyes. We are soooo tired of working in the heat, doing all this tedious, back killing work,  and the knowledge that only about 4 more full days will bring us to its completion is both over-whelming (FOUR MORE DAYS!!) and a relief (Finally!). I cannot wait to actually be able to go do fun things again. L told me yesterday that she was tired of her father and I being outside working all the time. I know it must be hard on the kids playing the wii inside in the a/c while we roast day after day. I don't know how they have managed.  I can't honestly sa

Hopefully the rain makes it all the way here! Apparently an early summer means an early fall, which I am all for. We have had a little rain, which is a blessing, and currently have dark clouds heading our way. It is expected to have temps in the low 90's and upper 80's this week AND a chance for rain everyday, which is virtually unheard of in Texas in the summer. Maybe one day I can not worry about breaking a leg in my backyard because I fell in one of the cracks. I did manage to severely jam or break my little toe and it has turned a lovely painful purple color. This means I have had to sit with my feet elevated more and we all know how much I love to sit still! I forgot to close the coop windows BEFORE it rained. Me watching everyone else walk the dog because of my toe. I tried to go, but it was too painful. My view from the bench of everyone enjoying the dog walk.
