The Bunch lmpatiently Await Fall!

Well, we are still waiting for the mercury to come down to a normal level for September. Even worse, I spent the weekend with a horrible stomach bug. I didn't realize how bad it was until we were on our way to church. I had to tell my husband to turn around and go home because this wasn't happening. I spent the entire rest of my weekend (Sunday and Monday) in my super comfy chair in my room either napping, watching tv (that I really didn't pay attention to), or contemplating how horrible I felt (mostly what I did).  I do all the mowing at our house (every week) and my husband does all the weed eating (at least 3 times a season). However, I had not been able to mow for almost 2 weeks so we literally had weeds as tall as the bird bath. My husband was wonderful and mowed the yard for me. Now, it took him forever since he doesn't normally do it and I kept "reminding" him about certain sprinkler heads to watch out for, but he spent a few hours out in the heat mo

The Bunch are Ready for Fall!

We are so tired of the heat and humidity. I am ready for the nice crisp fall mornings. This summer wasn't a recording setting hot one, but it has seemed to drag on forever. We were going to take the camper to the lake last weekend, but since it was 98 still, we just didn't want to wait the 6 hours it would take for the a/c to cool off the rig to a comfortable level. Instead, we just went to the lake for an afternoon and had fun swimming and playing volleyball. Our next camper trip is early next month and on the recommendation of one of D's friends we are going to visit Beaver's Bend in OK. I like this because it is only 180 miles from us and we won't be too far from the animals if we need to come back. They do have a warning about bears so it should be interesting.  The horse is being a pain again. Our wonderful farrier we found last time wouldn't call us back so we had to find a new farrier to trim her feet and he did a complete hack job. She has issues wit

The Bunch Truck on Through Bday Season and Enjoy Labor Day

Wow! The fall schedule is in full swing and so far working well for us. While we absolutely loved our homeschool scout group, it has been great having the extra time. The kids now are available to attend their youth group at church during the week and are making a lot of new friends. My very shy eldest daughter even invited a couple of them to come to her birthday party! She hardly ever asks for friends to come over.  The church doesn't have any adult classes meet while the youth are having their service so basically D and I have a 2 hour date night once a week now. It has been fun just going out on our own. We ate at a great Thai place on the square last week. It was a fun place. Peanut butter chicken. YUMMY!!! Red Curry Shrimp The girls took a photography class this summer and decided to enter some photographs in the North Texas State Fair. They had their photos professionally printed and then matted them themselves. They each entered two photos. One in a general
