The Bunch are Ready for Fall!

We are so tired of the heat and humidity. I am ready for the nice crisp fall mornings. This summer wasn't a recording setting hot one, but it has seemed to drag on forever. We were going to take the camper to the lake last weekend, but since it was 98 still, we just didn't want to wait the 6 hours it would take for the a/c to cool off the rig to a comfortable level. Instead, we just went to the lake for an afternoon and had fun swimming and playing volleyball. Our next camper trip is early next month and on the recommendation of one of D's friends we are going to visit Beaver's Bend in OK. I like this because it is only 180 miles from us and we won't be too far from the animals if we need to come back. They do have a warning about bears so it should be interesting.
The horse is being a pain again. Our wonderful farrier we found last time wouldn't call us back so we had to find a new farrier to trim her feet and he did a complete hack job. She has issues with all four legs now and can barely walk. We are going out 2x a day to give her pain meds and 1x to put padding on her feet. We have had to find yet another farrier to come look at her, but he cannot come out for a few days so basically she just gets to suffer. We are really upset with the last guy. Our horse was rideable and doing great and now we are probably going to have months of rehab. So far, I think owning a horse is a big pain. However, I really like the donkey. She is not only easy to take care of, but really sweet. It is like having a 350# dog. I am not sure what we will do if we have to put the horse down. We may get another donkey to keep ours company or just give up and turn their barns into a couple of sheds.

This is L's first volleyball season where A is too old to play with her. A really misses being allowed to play, but luckily she gets to help out a lot in practices. We are playing on a newly formed homeschool girls team and only 2 people have ever played volleyball before so they will probably get slaughtered in most of their games, but they have made lots of friends their ages so everyone is having a good time. A has another 16 year old girl she talks to and  T has several 11 year old boys to play with. Home schoolers tend to have large families so it works out well. Hopefully, the team stays together for a couple of years and can get really good.
T had been wanting to try this all summer. Finally on his b-day he got to!

I feel they were born in the wrong era.

My baby girl is 16 today!

We watched Tangled and A made L a braid like Rapunzel's.

Maisy watching me do chores. She was upset she couldn't go because the horses were in the main yard.

Random photo bandit commandeered my phone again.

Such silliness! He is suppose to be playing ball with the girls.

Maisy loves our afternoon naps! (again someone took my phone!)

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
