Three Birthdays in 10 days |
I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!

He has gotten so good at guitar! |

My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to dinner and dessert. |
|
We used the leftovers to sing Happy Birthday to T the next day on his actual birthday. We were getting a little sugared out from everyone's birthdays and T's birthday party. |
|
D drew a fun birthday sign. It is tradition to draw birthday wishes on the dry erase boards. |
|
MiMi is such a helper....and so big. She only weighs 1 lbs less than Noelle. She will be one on Nov 22. It feels more like 2 years. |

He is ready for his day. |

Maisy is still kicking. |

T asked for his favorite verse on a shirt and A designed this for him. |
T had a fantastic birthday! I know because he mentioned it multiple times and I am glad he enjoyed himself. He deserves it. D and I had gotten up early to put up some birthday decorations. T was so excited to start his birthday that he got up with us, but we sent him back to bed for a few minutes while we decorated. We had thought about decorating the night before, but we were afraid the cats would destroy it. Of course, the first thing we did was open presents. He is still a little kid at heart. After breakfast, he and D headed out to go play around at Guitar Center, T's most favorite place. In fact, he wanted to take his senior trip to Guitar Center. We take the kids on a trip between their junior year and senior year. A picked Chicago and we planned a route out there and back for two weeks. L decided on Galveston, which I had thought would be too hot for us to have fun, but it was really fun. I told T the point of a senior trip is to create fun memories before they go off and get busy with life so he had to pick an actual destination. So he picked (I found and showed him) a river sport place in OKC that has kayaking, tubing, surfing, ropes courses, and will be the site for the 2028 Olympics for kayaking and a couple of other things....there is also a Guitar Center nearby. Boys are just a different breed. We plan to go sometime in in either May or June.
This weekend we celebrate A's birthday by, surprisingly, throwing axes. She has wanted to do this since the aforementioned Chicago trip. C and H plan to join us. It should be fun.
