The Bunch Get Ready For Orlando

 

Who says you can't be sick in bed and play guitar?😂

This week was all about getting things together so the boys have a fairly easy time taking care of things while we're gone. Unfortunately, the farrier decided to change his day to next week so the boys will have to deal with that on their own. D is pretty much never here when he comes and Gwen tends to be shy around him so it should be interesting. The good news is T is always my helper so he knows how we usually do it and the horses are familiar with his role....this could be interesting. Good luck boys! 🤞 Our farrier is so good though it shouldn't be too bad....I hope! 

I left super detailed instructions about everything literally plastered all over the fridge. I'm not kidding. There is 7 pages. 

T was disappointed because he is starting to get sick and he doesn't want to ruin his "fun week". I am glad he is so excited to stay home with D. I think he plans on a lot of guitar playing, a few movies, eating out, playing basketball, and working out. They should have a lot of fun between taking care of the animals. Speaking of which, it has now been a year since we had to have the vet come out on a holiday weekend, from Oklahoma, to euthanize our old horse. After her miraculous recovery 10 minutes before the vet arrived ( and our $600 fee) she has had absolutely no issues. She has slowed down a lot, but she's an old horse in her 20's so it's not unexpected. The little donkey has more issues than she does. I really hope she isn't like the horse down the street who is about to turn 35. Their level of involvement in keeping that horse alive is a full time job. I have to say I am pretty sure I would just decide to have her put down before I had that much extra expense and time taken to facilitate her life. It is weird now that we have to worry about keeping her weight up instead of worrying about her eating too much. It's super hard to try to keep the donkey on a diet, but give the horse more food. Basically, the horse is a good weight and the donkey is obese. It is what it is.

A and I are so excited about the trip! We have researched everything we want to do and places we want to eat at. A is packing all 3 of her Harry Potter wands. She is hoping at least one of them still has a working sensor in it to use at the park. With a 5 day pass, we should have plenty of time to do everything we want without feeling rushed. The parks all close in the early evening so we will have plenty of time each night to relax and unwind plus plan our next day. We can't wait!!

T has his Home EC class this semester and  this week's lab was making yeast bread. He chose a cinnamon sugar bread to make and it was yummy! 😋 

This is the cats favorite nap spot. Yes, it's just a plastic bowl, but they take turns sleeping in it. They're weird 🤷

How is MiMi only 10 months!?! It feels like we have had her FOREVER!

They are so helpful! T's chair broke so D had to glue it back together and our little helpers were right there fixing it with us. Good news is it does appear to be good as new now.

T wanted a horsey ride like he had when he was younger....a lot younger! 🤣

The Bunch Start Birthday Week

  Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. We are a pretty close family and do a lot of things together all the time anyways, but on birthdays we still make sure we defer to the birthday boy/girl. The Bunch Visit Family

  We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. The Bunch Have A Fantastic Week!

  Pickleball is always fun! Now that the weather has been nicer, albeit super windy, we have been trying to do our weekly pickleball match. Basically, this week whoever was playing with the wind won! We still have fun playing even when it is windy. In fact, playing in the wind probably makes us have more fun. The wind gusts sometimes pick the ball up and make it do some funny things, like getting the ball and pushing it back onto your side so you lose a point or blowing it three courts over! Luckily, we are usually the only ones there so it doesn't matter if we play across 4 courts. Afterwards, we usually go get some ice cream/ frozen yogurt and just enjoy our outing.  T went camping this weekend with his troop. They worked on orienteering, which I was super happy about since T needs to work on that something fierce, but unfortunately the boys in troop aren't much better than him at orienteering and the first guy oriented them upside down on the first one so they basically was...
