The Bunch Celebrate A turning 21!!!

Happy Birthday 🎂

My little baby girl is 21! I remember mommy and baby girl afternoon naps together. I remember numerous tea parties and dress up on rainy days. There were stroller jogs to the park, picnics at the zoo, story times at the library, and gymnastic lessons. It makes me so happy that A remembers all these too so fondly! She even has a playlist on her phone titled "childhood memories" where she has all the songs we listened to while she was growing up. She currently has about 200 songs on it! She is now a full fledged adult that has graduated college and is starting her career. She has grown into a very capable young woman. She always had horrible anxiety as a child and to see her out grow it and do things for herself is just amazing. She still will ask for guidance about somethings, but I think parents will always be asked for guidance occasionally by their children. However, just because we give her advice doesn't mean she'll follow it and that's just fine with us. It's her life. She wanted to celebrate turning 21 by doing something that noone in our family has ever done. We went ax throwing! The six of us( C & H went too) went to a venue in Sherman that has all kinds of stuff to do including ax throwing. I reserved an hour for us and at first I thought that would be way too long. It took a bit for us to get comfortable enough for it to be fun. I'll admit the first 15 minutes were long. I was nervous about accidents and chopping someone's arm off. However, after the fear subsided and we warmed up, it was actually a lot of fun! H surprised us all by kicking our butts. She was a natural....after she got warmed up!😂 After we finished our throwing competition, we went to eat at the onsite restaurant where A ordered her first alcoholic beverage. I embarrassed her by recording it being delivered and her first sip.❤️ She asked me to share it with her so I am not too sure she actually liked it, but she did like being old enough to order it! It was a fun afternoon and we were glad that C & H got to share it with us!

MiMi and Maisy are big helpers🥰

I thought the benches were really cute.

A reading the card from C & H while we wait for our ax throwing babysitter. We literally had to have a worker sit by us for the entire hour just in case. The venue requires it for everyone, not just us.

H & C were the best throwers!!

You had to watch for chunks of wood flying at you....not to mention the ax rebound 😂

There was an art to throwing it. Sadly, the birthday girl finished last after a strong start, but she had a blast and that's all that mattered.

Her first sip of beer....she wasn't a fan!

We were waiting for our meal and A's first drink.

We all had a great time 😊

A got a half lemonade half tea drink. It wasn't too bad, but I think she might like other things better. Their lemonade wasn't the best.

Yes, it's been 21 years and my husband still can't spell A's name!🤣

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
