The Bunch Celebrate Christmas

It's become tradition for T to wear a Santa hat on Christmas. Our Christmas was pretty low key. D was able to go in late so he was able to have Christmas with us before he went to work which was really nice. The kids and I packed up and moved Christmas brunch to C&H's house since he needs to stay close to home and we worried about the lack of emergency care both on the way to our house and while here. I made up a potato casserole ahead of time, brought stuff for garden scrambled eggs, and banana bread while H made a really good cranberry punch and some pigs in a blanket. I have to say for only 5 people we had a ton of food! In fact, T ate so much for brunch I don't think he really ate anything for the rest of the day. He also finished his very last hour of driving on his way back home! Driver's license here we come....next week! After the mess Axl made last time we left him in his crate, we reenforced the doors with zip ties. We also made sure to take him on a wal...

The Bunch Go See Christmas Lights & Go With C To The Emergency Room

These past few weeks have been a little crazy. A few weeks ago C went to the emergency room because he thought he was having a heart attack. He had been complaining about an irregular heart beat for a couple months, but this time it not only landed him in the emergency room, but also admitted him to the hospital. He had to wear a heart monitor for a month, only to be told that they want another 2 weeks of a monitor with him not on any medication to get a more accurate reading and see if the meds were causing his highs to be better, but his lows to be way lower than they actually were. He, of course, has had a few incidents since then, but on the night we were going to meet him and H to go eat and look at Christmas lights he had another pretty major ...

The Bunch Go To Ice!

I love the Gaylord at Christmas! We historically take off school for the rest of the year around the second week of December. This year was no different. We homeschool so I figure we can just slow down and enjoy the holidays during an already busy time with one less thing to do. I will admit that now that I only have one left in school we could probably go a little longer before our break, but T didn't really think that would be fair.😂 We have been enjoying our normal Christmas traditions. We even have started a couple of new ones.  Since the pandemic, we have been doing advent calendars and this year was no different. We end up with this really complicated system of who gets what on what day, but we enjoy it. This year the boys rotated a cocoa k-cup calendar and the girls did a coffee one ( it said coffee AND cocoa on ours, but we have yet to get a single cocoa). We also have a gourmet popcorn calendar and an around the world candy. I usually go kind of crazy on advent calendars,...
