The Bunch Go With A To Get Her First Car and L Breaks Her Wrist!

We had a busy week this week. Basketball practice started back twice a week for two hours and we took A to buy her first car. Those were our planned errands. The unplanned ones included taking L to the emergency care center and dealing with Maisy's decline.  First things first. On Saturday, L decided to go out in the evening after it started cooling off and do aerial on the stand we installed in the backyard. We have a 3/4 inch mat installed under it. She had decided to use the silks instead of the hoop. Not unusual. However, T went out to do silks with her (no, he doesn't really do aerial, but has been keeping L company lately and trying a few things. In fact, I am shocked he wasn't the one to get  hurt) and towards the end L was dismounting and let's just say that she didn't stick the landing. She became tangled up in the silks, fell down to the ground, and landed on her wrist. We took her to Care Now on Sunday and they had a FOUR hour wait. Needless to say, we

The Bunch Go To Eisenhower State Park

Ok. So it turned out I did pick the wrong trail. It was way more mountainous than I had wanted. However, it was a mile shorter ( sorry the cliff scrambling made it take an hour longer!).😁 As most everyone knows Eisenhower State Park is one of my favorite close parks. It is only a little over an hour from our house; it has great hiking trails and swim beach; and the sites are huge. Even better, this time we were excited to try out the new FULL hook up spots. Unfortunately, things started out not so good. The site I reserved was so unlevel that 2 packages of Leveling Blocks (20 in total) were not enough to get us level! Plus having that many blocks on one side was like trying to climb half a mountain. We tried for about 20 minutes to make it work before we gave up. Our trip would have ended there, but luckily they had another spot available. The second spot was much better. In fact we did not even need one leveling block.  About 3 feet from the door there was a pretty steep drop off,

The Bunch Conclude Birthday Week

I love the country. Beautiful evenings. A was the last one to have her birthday during birthday day season and she managed to arrange her schedule to have most of the day off. I also quizzed her on somethings her pharmacology test would be over. She wanted to see the live Pinocchio that Disney just released. It wasn't a bad movie; it just had too much cgi effects for me. It must have been really weird for Tom Hanks to just act by himself for a whole movie. It was a great day and I was glad we were able to spend it with her. I really try to relish the traditions we have because I know that soon we won't have so much time together and I know I will miss that. Don't get me wrong I am super excited for life after kids, but I will miss the everyday things. We had to have a pic with Noelle. She is like the family baby. A opening her gifts. T drew her some birthday drawings. He knows she loves Harry Potter. He did pretty good, especially for only using a dry erase board! A had a w

The Bunch Celebrate C and T's Birthdays and A's first week of work.

I had a wonderful birthday. L made me a delicious chocolate zucchini cake, which is the best recipe for chocolate cake I ever tasted and never would have tried it if we hadn't had 25 lbs of zucchini to use. Poor D tried to make eggs Benedict for me for breakfast, but the hollandaise sauce put up a fight. He has made it before and had it turn out perfectly, but this time he had some problems. After two attempts, it turned out good enough to eat, but boy did he have to work for it! After church, we came back and watched Super Pets on the projector. We had a nice relaxing day and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids got me a new phone, which was both a blessing and a curse. My other phone was 5 years old and most apps had stopped supporting it and it was really slow. It didn't even have a QR reader. They got me a 2022 Motorola Power. It has a 50 megapixel camera which I am super excited about. However, the sd card slot is apparently in the same spot as the sim card, unbeknownst to me
