The Bunch Conclude Birthday Week

I love the country. Beautiful evenings.

A was the last one to have her birthday during birthday day season and she managed to arrange her schedule to have most of the day off. I also quizzed her on somethings her pharmacology test would be over. She wanted to see the live Pinocchio that Disney just released. It wasn't a bad movie; it just had too much cgi effects for me. It must have been really weird for Tom Hanks to just act by himself for a whole movie. It was a great day and I was glad we were able to spend it with her. I really try to relish the traditions we have because I know that soon we won't have so much time together and I know I will miss that. Don't get me wrong I am super excited for life after kids, but I will miss the everyday things.

We had to have a pic with Noelle. She is like the family baby.

A opening her gifts.

T drew her some birthday drawings.

He knows she loves Harry Potter.

He did pretty good, especially for only using a dry erase board!

A had a wonderful day. Her work even got her a card and some doughnuts.

With basketball season starting soon, I have worked a couple of quick camping trips in this month to Eisenhower State Park. It is one of my favorite parks and now all the sites are pull thru and FULL hook ups, which is an oddity for any state park. I can't wait to see the newly done park! Between choir practice and basketball open gyms, we can only manage a couple of days away, but that should be enough to kind of reset. We get stuck in the mundane of chores and business that encompasses us at home and it is nice to just go somewhere and relax....or at least have nothing the needs to be done.  No animals to fed (except the ones who travel with us), no having to get up early for school (though we still usually get up fairly early), and NO internet. We play games, hike, and watch Dvds together. The kids usually play several board games with each other all day and that rarely happens at home. I would say we just live simply for a few days, but anyone who has ever seen us knows that we bring everything with us. What can I say, I like traveling. I have a literal countdown to when D is retiring and we are going to spend some time traveling together. We might do some camp work too. I have no idea how it will play out, but I am excited for the experience.

Our cat is not normal. This is the dog feet washing bowl. She loves to nap in it.

I was surprised when I cleaned the old hay out of the hay trough and it had newborn bunnies. Not surprised about the bunnies I have now found a total of 51 with this nest since April, but that she put it IN the hay trough!

To hopefully keep Iris from knocking them around, I put them in a low box so they couldn't wiggle away and placed the box in the back. Basically my morning routine is I put them in the box and cover them with hay and that night mama rabbit comes, takes them out of the box, puts them back in the middle of the trough, and covers them with hay. Repeat daily.

Iris is NOT impressed with the new guests, but so far she has been good and not messed with them.

This should give you an idea of how friendly the older rabbits are. About 6 come out each night, just from under the deck, to eat scratch when I feed the chickens. As you can tell, it is not bothered by me.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
