The Bunch Enjoy The Cooler Weather

The Dallas Museum of Art  This July has been fantastic! We have had almost two weeks of temperatures in the the 80's or low 90's! Unfortunately, our house missed all of the much needed rain, but we really enjoyed the cooler weather. This week A went to see Shrek the Musical at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. Unfortunately, this happened to be on the EXACT day that the First Baptist Church of Dallas caught fire which caused them to shut down multiple streets around the opera house. A ended up running the last 3 city blocks to get there before it started. She made it, but barely. She literally had only two minutes before it started once she got to her seat. A has been going to the theater a lot lately, which is great, but it is a little expensive for us to keep joining her so she goes to whatever show she has tickets to and we pass time at the Dallas Museum of Art and wandering around downtown while she watches her show. The museum is free and has nice, cold a/c. D and I ha

The Bunch Pick Up T From Camp And Have More Fun Jar Fun

My wonderful kids💕 and I T returned from camp around lunchtime on Saturday. Watching the kids disembark from the bus was like watching zombies invading. 😂 Both adults and kids a like were functioning on nothing! I have to hand it to T though, even though he went to bed early, he managed to stay awake and not nap all afternoon. He literally was not functional and only able to sit in his recliner and converse, but he was awake. He also managed to come home WITHOUT getting sick! He says the key is to NOT run the 5 k they have on Wednesday morning. The two years he has ran it, he has come home sick. The two years he hasn't ran it, he has been fine, just tired. I kept our schedule fairly fluid this week just in case he came home sick. Since I had cleared our schedule for the week, we got to have some fun time.  The first thing we did was we went to go visit our Aunt S. We hadn't seen her in about a year so it was really nice to catch up. She took us out for lunch at the Mexican

The Bunch Drop T Off For Camp

T left for his week long camp on Monday. This is his fourth year to go and he absolutely loves going. His best friend at the time invited him to go one year and he's been going every summer since. They are no longer best friends, but he does have several other friends that go so he still has a great time. This church camp is the biggest one in the United States. It's called Falls Creek and is in Ardmore, Oklahoma, which means if something happens then he is only an hour from us. That is closer than going to visit my in-laws or my son, who both happen to live EXACTLY the same amount of miles from us, but in complete opposite directions. This camp is huge! I am talking about thousands of kids are there every week throughout the summer. They have zip lines, pools, a river, volleyball tournaments, a rec center, basketball, and so much more. They also have several different Bible focused classes that are offered each day so the kids can learn more about what interests them. The cla

The Bunch Get T Ready For Camp And T Gets His License!!

Not as cute as the photo op in Flower Mound, but it will do. He was still just as excited! It's summer. It's Texas. It's hot. No surprise there. We expect it. While summer did just abruptly begin, it still isn't anywhere near as bad as last year. This year temps have barely hit 100 and the heat index is way less. Last year while T was at camp the heat index was 125 in Oklahoma, hitting a record. I was so worried about the kids getting heat exhaustion and it wasn't much better here, though D and I did go camp for a couple of days, but mostly just watched movies in the trailer and had dinner with C and H. Unfortunately, D has to work this time and so does A so I have a ton of time at home by myself. I am a little lost on what to do. I have a couple of projects I want to start, but I also am going to do something fun. A graduates this summer from college and ever since the kids were little I have saved special shirts and other cloth mementos to make them a personaliz
