The Bunch Drop T Off For Camp

T left for his week long camp on Monday. This is his fourth year to go and he absolutely loves going. His best friend at the time invited him to go one year and he's been going every summer since. They are no longer best friends, but he does have several other friends that go so he still has a great time. This church camp is the biggest one in the United States. It's called Falls Creek and is in Ardmore, Oklahoma, which means if something happens then he is only an hour from us. That is closer than going to visit my in-laws or my son, who both happen to live EXACTLY the same amount of miles from us, but in complete opposite directions. This camp is huge! I am talking about thousands of kids are there every week throughout the summer. They have zip lines, pools, a river, volleyball tournaments, a rec center, basketball, and so much more. They also have several different Bible focused classes that are offered each day so the kids can learn more about what interests them. The classes are not required, but encouraged. We "encourage" T to take at least two. I look forward to hearing how camp was when he gets back. L was so good about texting everyday when she went to tell us about what they were doing and how hot it was. T is a boy and I don't expect a whole lot of communication from him, plus they only have cell service when they go to the top of the mountain so it's kind of hard to stay in touch. I miss him though. It's so quiet without him. I remember years ago a few moments to myself was cherished. I knew I would miss the craziness when they got older and I was right. Having all this uninterrupted time is lonely.  At least I still have a couple more years before the last one leaves. I will cherish all the moments....well most of them anyways.😂

It is official. A and I are taking our girls trip in September and it ended up being NOTHING we thought we would do. We are spending a week in Orlando at Universal! I found an unbelievable deal for round trip air fare, 5 day park tickets to any of the 3 parks, 5 nights at a Universal hotel, and transportation for less than $1600. A had saved up $4500 to go on a fun "I graduated college" trip so she is so excited that this cost so much less and now she has money saved up for her next vacation. I am very touched she wants to take me on this trip with her. We all had such a hard year and I look forward to relaxing and doing everything she wants to do. Our flight to Orlando leaves at 5:15 am so that will be a little rough, but it will give us the whole day in Florida to do stuff. We're both really looking forward to it. As for the boys, D is taking off that week from work to take care of T and the animals. I am sure they will have their own fun while we are away.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
