The Bunch Are Living Life

A and I keep busy during guitar lessons by shopping and exploring. So far the fall semester has been great! Even though I decided to just teach T Geometry instead of subbing it out like I did for the girls, school hasn't been too bad and T is usually done by about 12:30 pm, which leaves us a lot of extra time for some fun stuff. T is really excited that pickleball is something that we all enjoy so he tries to get us to come play with him pretty much everyday. He and I even rented a court last week to practice on. We were the only ones there which was nice since our balls tend to "travel" over to the adjoining courts while we learn proper techniques for playing, i.e. we pretty much suck. 😂  She was going to sit in it, but it turns out there is an upper weight limit 😂 We had the entire place to ourselves. We had a super fun time, though we are definitely ready for more fall like temps. It was hot! T sets up a portable net in the driveway to entice us to play with him.🥰 A

The Bunch Have Dinner With GiGi & Pop Pop

We literally celebrated EVERYONE'S birthday except D's 😂 It has been since January since we have been able to see my in laws. It's not that everyone hasn't tried to get together, it's just one thing or another kept happening and it ended up being almost 10 months! I love my in laws and it was so nice to see them and hang out. What was an even better surprise is that my mother in law took this next week off from work so they are going to come over one day this week so Pop Pop can help D with some questions he has about packing the bearings on the travel trailer. Yay! We get two visits in one week!  A mentioned recently that she missed going on adventures with us in the camper. She even specifically said checking out the different state parks. Since she had been so busy with school and work, like every other adult, she hasn't been able to go adventuring with us in awhile. In fact, the last trip she took with us was for L's senior trip over 2.5 years ago! Th

The Bunch Work On Their Pickleball Skills And Take In A Volleyball Game

The Bunch are slowly but surely improving in their pickleball skills. We still haven't really been taught the rules of playing a game, but we have learned how to serve, hit, and volley. We played 2 at a time against the instructor last lesson and he completely destroyed us, but he also learned he should probably wear a cup when playing against newbies 😂.  Our goal was literally to just try and hit the ball back to him, it didn't matter if it was "in" or not. We all still played chase the ball! It's fun, but a lot harder than I thought. We're really glad we got lessons to learn how to play because it's very helpful on learning proper techniques. T found a good deal on Amazon for 4 paddles, balls, and a portable net so we plan to head into town sometimes to set up on the basketball court to practice. The hand eye coordination is by far the hardest part to learn!  T has been working hard on finishing his driving hours so he can get his license. He has about

The Bunch Do Something Brand New 😁

He is a natural at almost everything.  We have seen over the last few years the rise of pickleball courts and news coverage of how celebrities and people of all ages are embracing this sport. We decided we wanted to give it a try as a family and enrolled in some lessons. I still feel like it's an old person sport, but honestly there was only one man older than D and I there. Most everyone else was younger, more like in their twenties. We had a lot of fun learning and while we still have multiple lessons to get through, we look forward to being able to actually play. We also learned that the hand eye coordination warm up is A LOT harder than it looks. We basically warmed up by chasing after our balls!😂 Who knows maybe we will end up playing regularly or join tournaments? Ok, that seems like a lofty goal. I think first I will set our goal up as just learning to play a game. To be honest, I thought it was played with tennis rackets! I literally know nothing about pickleball. The ra
