The Bunch Do Something Brand New 😁

He is a natural at almost everything.

We have seen over the last few years the rise of pickleball courts and news coverage of how celebrities and people of all ages are embracing this sport. We decided we wanted to give it a try as a family and enrolled in some lessons. I still feel like it's an old person sport, but honestly there was only one man older than D and I there. Most everyone else was younger, more like in their twenties. We had a lot of fun learning and while we still have multiple lessons to get through, we look forward to being able to actually play. We also learned that the hand eye coordination warm up is A LOT harder than it looks. We basically warmed up by chasing after our balls!😂 Who knows maybe we will end up playing regularly or join tournaments? Ok, that seems like a lofty goal. I think first I will set our goal up as just learning to play a game.

To be honest, I thought it was played with tennis rackets! I literally know nothing about pickleball. The rackets are actually square and kind of hard and the balls are whiffle balls.

A and I brought back an extra souvenir from Orlando....an illness. I am pretty sure it was on the plane ride back. I heard multiple people coughing and blowing their noses. At first, we thought we were just tired from our trip and we were adjusting to the allergies here, but by Wednesday it was evident we were sick. Not only were we super tired, but we also had a wet cough and horribly runny noses. It felt like it lasted forever, but it only lasted about 5 days. I am on day 6 now and today is the first day I have had no DayQuil. My nose is super raw and I still have the occasional cough, but overall I feel much better.

T wanted to go with his friends to a football game this week so A and I went with him to watch. There were so many people! No kidding, several thousand turned up to watch a highschool football game. It was fun, but trying to leave the parking lot was a nightmare. I see why a lot of people left before the 4th quarter. It took us almost 30 minutes just to leave the parking lot. T enjoyed the time with his friends though so it was worth it. I am not sure A will go with me again. She likes to be at home and in her jammies by 8pm. I can't blame her. I like it too!😂

It was a pretty big stadium.

A and I sat in the first row of the upper level and T and his friends sat in front of us in the back row of the lower level, which thanks to T leaving his phone on silent, A and I had no idea where he was until the 3rd quarter.

It was a homecoming game so T wanted to get his little girlfriend a flower. Problem is we literally live nowhere you can get a flower so luckily the farm store had its fall gardening stuff in so we bought one and put it a reusable coffee cup with a bow. I think it looks cute and I told him to tell her this way her flower won't die in a few days😂

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
