Hmmm, I guess I am not getting any better about updating, since I almost missed November completely. We had a great November. Our extra classes wrapped up until January so I have some extra time. My oldest celebrated his 19th birthday. It feels really strange for him to be so old. It seems I was just 19 not too long ago. We had a great Thanksgiving. D had to work, just like every year, but the kids and I have our traditions now. C and I ran the Turkey Trot in Double Oak. I was really impressed that he beat me by almost a full 2 minutes! The hills really slowed me down. I am not use to quite so many in my normal 5k. Afterwards, I bought McDonald's for the kids. I figured that I just ran so why not treat myself! Afterwards, the kids and I headed home to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, the dog show, and a very hard to watch Cowboys game. It was a great day. We went for a family Thanksgiving on Sunday and I enjoyed both sets of grandparents there for the first time in I do not know how long. I am really looking forward to December and all the fun opportunities the holiday time brings!
We made great time on the way there! It's amazing how leaving only 30 minutes later can help immensely with traffic. I wish all the shows started at 8 instead of 7:30. What a week this was! We went to Bass Hall to see Back to the Future. It was ok. Definitely not the best play we have seen. The boys went with us and since the last two shows they joined us for were The Outsiders, which is one of, if not our most, favorite show ever, and A Christmas Story, which is in probably in the top 6, they were really not impressed. However, we still had a nice time doing something different together. We love Bass Hall❤️ We had opening night tickets and got a GREAT deal! I went in this week and had my polyps removed plus they did a biopsy. I was more sore and for longer than I anticipated. Yes, the doctor said recovery was about 10 days, but I really only anticipated maybe 3-4. Boy, was I wrong! It's been 7 days now and by 10 I think I will be completely back to normal.
