My favorite time of year is once again here! I was well planned this year so most of all the shopping is already done and I have been really able to relax and enjoy the holidays. We went to see ICE at the Gaylord Texan, unfortunately this was one day after my buy one get one free coupon expired unbeknown to me. It was about 80 when we were going so we literally carried two bags of clothes in with us to change into right before we went in. I knew the kids would be able to use a snowsuit in Texas! They do give you a parka when you enter, but a word from the wise....it is 8 in there. You will want to have layers on, gloves, ear muffs, and maybe a face mask if you plan on staying more than 30 minutes. We were mesmerized by the sculptures. The kids loved the ice slides.
Slide was definitely the best part! |
My little monkeys with their little monkeys. |
Not sure what he was doing, but it works. |
Please note our faces are starting to redden. ..only been 15 minutes....COLD!! |
The coolest (pun intended) clear ice nativity scene! |
We have done some Christmas light looking, but plan a more in depth drive soon. We also plan to visit Santa at Bass Pro. Bass Pro has all kinds of free activities for the kids plus pics with the big guy. We also go to the live nativity that a local church does every year.
We took a picture with Joseph and Mary! |
Merry Christmas Every One!
