The Girl Scouts Take Over the Bunch!
Our oldest daughter has been in girl scouts since she has been old enough to participate. Every Cookieuary, fomerly known as February, our house becomes cookie central. We spend the better part of one day just picking up, delivering, and sorting over 1100 boxes of cookies. This is a lot of hard work, but also the only fundraiser her troop does for an entire year! The money the girls make fund their trips, snacks, supplies, and any other expense they have for an entire year. I have spent more time set up in front of grocery and home improvement stores than I care to mention, but it is a labor of love. The girl scouts are a great organization and wonderful way for girls to spend their extra time. However, I am very excited that my last day to sit in front of a wal-mart is this weekend. So please support your local scouts and buy a box of cookies for yourself or one for the troops (yes you can do that).
Besides keeping busy with cookies, we are also gearing up for our next camping adventure. It looks like the beach has won out. I wanted cave explorations, but I guess that will be next time. Everyone thinks homeschooling is so stress free because it is done at home. My response is usually "how would it feel to you if your kids summer break never ended?" I love homeschooling and will probably never stop, but they soon realize that having the kids 24/7 would be more than a little stressful. Now just add trying to do all their schoolwork with them while keeping up with regular household chores and you soon realize that homeschooling could become very stressful quite easily. The secret is knowing your limit and staying below it!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
