The Bunch Start Summer

T goes without training wheels!

He loves his art kit.

Wow. We have had so much happen this past week. The most exciting, for me anyways, is that last Friday we finished with school for this year! Yay, free time. I have missed that for the past 9 months! So as I sit to write this on our very first official day of summer break I realize three things. Number one is that the kids no longer have pre-assigned work to occupy their time with, two being the judge of who is right and who is wrong is just as time consuming as teaching school (and probably more frustrating) and number three I really can never have really truly FREE time. As I sit here and write this, all the kids, still living here, are separating the rabbit food from the dogfood. Sounds easy right, not to mention a little weird. I have no idea who is the culprit this time or their reasoning for thinking combining the two would be a good thing. I do know that 2#'s of rabbit food stirred into about 20# of dog food makes for a very daunting task to separate them. Since the guilty party won't admit to it. They all get to work. I was going to help, but then thought "wait a minute I know I am the only who definitely didn't do it."  I feel sorry for the two innocents, but I bet the guilty party won't do it again. We might have to start school up soon just to keep them out of mischief.

This week was also full of last firsts. What's a last first you ask. A last first is when you know you're witnessing the last time you see a child do a first, which is almost all of your last child's milestones. It is a bitter-sweet time. You are so happy that they are becoming more independent, but at the same time a little sad that one day before you are ready they will be gone and no longer drawing you pictures and picking you flowers or jumping in your bed at 6:30am excited to start their day. Okay, I admit I REALLY do not like that last one too much right now, but I am sure I will think back on it with fondness at some point in the distant distant future.  Our youngest learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this week. He is not quite ready for our jogs yet, but within the next couple of weeks should be steady enough to hit the streets again.

The youngest daughter finally received her doll I ordered in January. It is one of Linda Murray's SO Truly Real dolls. Yes, it is very expensive and yes from a distance in bad lightning it looks very much real. We have had strangers approach us in the store and think it is real. I have no doubt if she leaves it in the car in the summer I will have some good samaritan knock my window out. This newest addition also breathes and has a heart beat, though I think she looks more real without those turned on.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
