The Bunch Enjoy Six Flags

What do you do when the weather is cooler than has ever been recorded in the DFW area for July? You do something outside for sure and thank the Lord Almighty for not scorching us just yet (we all know it's coming). We decided to head to Six Flags for the day. Have you ever been to Six Flags when it didn't smell like melting asphalt and body odor? Yeah, us neither and I will tell you with the high only forecasted to be 78 we were more than willing to find out... and it was AWESOME. Best Six Flags day hands down. We ended up staying for about 9 hours instead of the usual 5 or 6. It was great to leave and not feel like we have been camping for 3 days.
A found the cutest pic set up.

The kids had so much fun and I really enjoyed not having to worry about them becoming overheated and dehydrated. The youngest decided he did not like any of the "big" coasters which was disappointing because he enjoyed them so much last year. My hubby talked the youngest daughter into doing the Superman tower of power with him and surprisingly she enjoyed it and did not cry afterwards. I hate that ride because I do not enjoy having my stomach shoved up my throat repeatedly, but I guess to each their own.
Little L going with daddy on the Tower of Power.

The before shot of Mr. Freeze......didn't get an after. :(

T did his own superman in Looney Tunes Land and loved it.

The oldest daughter finally relented and let my hubby talk her into going on Mr. Freeze, to which she has decided she does not like hanging in mid air and then dropping several stories backwards.  However, she went so I feel completely confident my husband will try to drag her on all the big rides next year regardless of how she feels, especially since she meets all the minimum height requirements.
Hubby surprised me with beautiful red roses!

T loves superman.....so does his daddy!

I would love to enjoy another week of cooler temps, but the 100's are already in the forecast again. It was a rare and wonderful treat to have such spring like weather!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
