The Bunch are Ready for Christmas

Wow, I am sorry it has been so long  since my last post. We have been very busy getting ready the holiday season. First, T has been losing teeth left and right. Seriously, he has lost 3 teeth THIS WEEK and has more loose! I told him if he loses anymore we will have to buy him baby food to eat.

T's new toothless grin!

T just moved up from his white belt to his gold belt in karate. I was very proud of him because of his entire group he was recognized in front of everyone as having the best form. I usually do not take him to karate so when I went to watch on belt test day I was very pleasantly surprised to see how much better he had become in the past few months. Way to go T!

I had been working on Indian shirts and a turkey shirt for Thanksgiving. My wonderful husband was willing to let me make him a turkey to contrast our Indians. We wore our outfits to the park for pictures and made more than one jogger smile on turkey day. We spent the day with my in laws just watching the parade and dog show while eating vast amounts of yummy food. It was great.
My boy getting his turkey. Yep, the back has feathers!
Could the girls look any less enthused with picture time?
This past weekend we drove down to Waxahachie to see the Bethlehem Revisited that they put on in the first two weekends in December. Essentially, they recreate the entire market place in the town of  David and you actually watch actors, in a very large nice set complete with barnyard animals, react to what was going on the day of Jesus's birth.,  You see Caesar's guards walking about, you have the tax building to pay your taxes and  numerous merchants like basket weavers, bread makers, pottery makers, and soap makers. You follow Mary and Joseph through the city and being turned away at the inn, the birth of Jesus, and the three wise men trying to make their way to the new king. It was surreal. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Totally worth the drive!

Waiting for Jesus.....Isn't that always true?

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
