The Bunch Get Into Spring

It has been a crazy six weeks.  We decided to make a huge Universal trip to Orlando and stop off in Pensacola. The planning for that length of a camping trip has been very involved. We are super excited though and cannot wait to visit Harry Potter World.

The cat lives on...21 in April!
We also visited my grandmother in law at the nursing facility that cares for her in order to celebrate her birthday. Thankfully, she was having a really good day and recognized her husband and one of her daughters. It is sad she doesn't remember her grand kids or great grand kids anymore, but it is heartbreaking when she forgets who her husband and kids are.  She was such a kind hearted woman, who always put others before herself, and learning to see her with severe dementia has been hard for everyone who loves her, but especially her husband. He has handled it with wonderful grace and love and I can only hope that if I am ever put in the position that he is in that I handle it as well as he has.

D's grandfather passed away last Weds. so we have been dealing with that also. His burial was at DFW National Cemetery. I had never been there before, but I think we might take a field trip there one day, not only to find his grandfather's marker, but also just to pay our respects to all the soldiers. The Patriot Guard was there when the Hearst drove by and all of them stopped and stood at attention while we passed. It was so heart warming to see and that small gesture meant the world to all of us who were grieving. If anyone associated with the Patriot Guard reads this,  Thank You, it means a lot for those grieving to see that.

Our time on earth is short, so let's make the very best of it, not only for us, but also everyone who knows us
Shhhhh.....you can't see him.

A playing on the swing/bars daddy just put up.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...

The Bunch Celebrate T's 16th Birthday

Three Birthdays in 10 days I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!  He has gotten so good at guitar! My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to di...
