The Bunch Celebrate L's Bday and Get a New Dog

Happy Birthday L!
For the first time in a few years, L celebrated her actual birthday without being on a trip or just back from a trip. In fact, it was almost 2 full weeks from when we arrived home that she celebrated her birthday. She hates celebrating her bday on the road, but normally spring break includes her birthday so it cannot be helped. We throw her a party on another day, but she still likes being home on her birthday.  My husband and I gave her a magic kit from Universal Studios that we saw while we were there for vacation. She practiced and during her party put on a little magic show for her guests. She did really well.....we gave her the levitating magic kit so she showed us the "magic" way she could levitate the card. It looks really cool!

Easter Morning

Made Daddy in charge of egg dying! hehee!!!

We also ended up adopting a shelter dog. We had been dogless for about 6 months and truth be told DH and I really liked it. No walking the dog, no worrying about picking up the backyard or leaving the gate ajar, no being woken up at night to let it out, and no having it completely flip out over a thunderstorm. I wasn't sure we would get another dog. However, my son had animal services come visit his library class. He drew them a thank you picture and we ended up with a dog. She is a very high energy dog, but since 3 kids always want to play circus dog and fetch she receives a lot of attention. The only issue is she has severe separation anxiety and will not leave my side for hardly a second. I am literally always with in eyesight or more than likely have her touching me somewhere. It is sweet, but seriously annoying..we have lots of work to do with that. Overall, she is the sweetest, most affectionate, well behaved dog we have ever had. She is already part of the family and everyone absolutely loves her!

The cool lizard who hangs out on our window every afternoon for the past 2 years!

Believe it or not this DIDN'T end badly.

Our eldest, now 21, and his horse...I mean dog at his new house.

She really always has to be this close.

Sometimes closer!
She jumped down to be next to me about 3 seconds later.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
