The Bunch "Journey Off The Map"...to VBS!

This week is the much anticipated, always loved, fun filled week at The First Baptist Church of Lewisville, aka VBS.  The kids have been looking forward to this and they were not disappointed! They learned some great new worship songs and really enjoyed celebrating the Lord's love with all their friends. The church always goes all out to make VBS fun for the kids and this year was no exception. The church even constructed a cave for the students to walk through. The theme this year was Journey Off the Map (think Indiana Jones) and all the little explorers were out finding clues of God's love and grace. We had a blast and have even downloaded the worship songs to play at home.

It is already the end of June and we have not hit 100 degrees yet! I know it is coming, but the lower temps have been enjoyable, though the high humidity from all the rain is making it slightly less comfortable than it could be. Today we went to the park to allow the kids some room to run around and had a great time. A and T played baseball (I use that term loosely) and L rode her bike around saving worms from certain death from sun exposure by throwing them off the sidewalk and into the grass. It was a great time for all. We are gearing up for the fourth of July festival by making some festive shirts. I'll let you know how that goes.

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. The Bunch Visit Family

  We had fun playing some board games...and it wasn't even a fun jar idea! We just did it because it sounded like fun! The fun jar has been a little slow being implemented this year. T made sure to let me know! We're making up for it next week by drawing several things.  We have had a wonderfully busy week visiting family and getting things done around the house. We went over to my parents house to celebrate Father's Day and while the boys played games with Grandpa, the girls went with Grandma to show her what all the fuss about Trader Joe's is about. She enjoyed looking at all the different things and even found a few gems of her own. It was a nice day and fun to get out together for a little bit. We had a great day!🥰 We picked up Whataburger for my Dad as a treat and my mom made some tots and a side salad up to go with it.💗 We also had a nice long visit with our Aunt P. The Bunch Start Birthday Week

  Yes, my Mom had my name misspelled on the cake.😂 It was still yummy so it was all good. T, A, and I all have our birthdays within a week and a half. Which means there is a crazy amount of sugar within those 10 days. We always like to make whoever's birthday it is feel special for the day. We watch what they want,do activities they like, eat what they pick, do their chores for them, etc. It not usually too expensive, but just a fun day where it's focused on them. The kids use to use their days to rule like little kings and queens, but have become a lot calmer in their "old" age since they get to do whatever they want most of the time anyways. We are a pretty close family and do a lot of things together all the time anyways, but on birthdays we still make sure we defer to the birthday boy/girl. My birthday is first and the kids do so many nice things for me all the time, but they put forth an extra effort on my birthday. This year A even woke up early to turn the cof...
