The Bunch Head to Nebraska for Thanksgiving

Had a lot of fun at the Gaylord's Ice exhibit.
We did it. We took three kids and one crazy out of control dog on a 1300 mile round trip excursion to visit family in Kearney, NB. We travel a lot, but this was our first trip with an animal. We usually leave our animals at home and hire someone to care for them, but our new shelter dog is beyond clingy and I couldn't even ask family to deal with that! We did discover she travels much better locked in her kennel than out loose with us. We took the Navigator and the third row just barely accommodated her kennel with room for one kid left over. Being able to freely get in and out of the car without psyco dog tearing everything up was great. The trip up was cold, but sunny and with limited stops took about 11.5 hours.

We were treated to a snowstorm just in time for Thanksgiving. We spent great quality time with our family and had a blast watching 3D movies on their new movie projector. Our dog wasn't too bad and it helped the entire basement area was our living quarters so we only encountered their dogs on potty breaks. They locked up their dogs for a few minutes while ours went out and everything went smoothly. Our dog was definitely not ready to be friends yet, but maybe on our next trip she will be ready to be introduced. The trip home worried me a lot because of the huge ice and snow storm that pretty much had a direct hit on our entire route home, but my worrying was needless. Everywhere else had snow plows, and while the exits and parking lots were extremely treacherous, the highway was perfectly clear. We maintained a 60 to 70 mph speed on the highway and limited our stops to avoid the exits and parking lots. I guess ice is only an issue in Texas where we don't have snow plows, sand only helps so much.

We decorated our house for Christmas this weekend and are still the poster child for the fireman's lesson on what not to do to your outlet. I do make sure to unplug everything in any kind of inclement weather, but it still all plugs into one outlet! I have a great start to my holiday shopping and look forward to Christmas break to enjoy all the local festivities.

Memaw was so excited to see us.

We had a wonderful meal.

Frozen in 3D on their new movie projector...so cool.

She really thought she fit!

This is a great museum that creates an interactive tour of life on the Oregon trail.

This museum was a real gem.

A birds eye view of what the hwy looked like after the snow.

This is really a thing there. Tried it when we got back...not too bad.
I told you we were the poster child for what not to do!

Beautiful Scenery on our trip home, still took  11.5 hours.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
