The Walters Bunch Work on Finishing School and Scouts

Kids enjoying a fishing day with PaPa
After deciding to take our month long trip in the fall, we have been very busy planning the logistics of a trip this large. Not only do we have to prepare the route and stops, but also the meal plans and accompanying grocery list (It makes it way easier on us when everything is thought of ahead and we just stick to the list.) Some days I am already tired of all the driving and we haven't even left yet! I know we will have some not so fun moments (we always do), but I think overall we will have a wonderful trip and make great life long memories.

T finished school this week. L and A finish up in a couple of weeks. We are all ready for a break from school. Unfortunately for them (and myself), in order to make up for our month long trip in the fall, they have to start school back in July. I am sure they will grumble when that time gets here, but I will remind them (frequently, I have no doubt) that it will all be worth it when we are on our fun trip.

We are down to our last couple of meetings with our Scout group before summer break. The girls celebrated with an End of Year party and T participated and won the fastest time in the rain gutter regatta, which basically means he blew his sailboat to end the fastest. He won a Bahama Bucks gift card, which he cannot wait to use. This might make up for the turtle award he got at the pine car derby.

D overtakes T's new snap circuit toy.

He was really into Fievel Goes West.

L made me a tatoo with her kit.....washed off later.

That's right....we weren't the slowest this time!

L refused to believe how much she crowds T out so I took this for proof.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
