The Bunch Work Hard This Summer

This summer is a bummer.....at least from the kids perspective. We are busy all week long doing house stuff. I have noticed several things from this.
1.) over the years we have accumulated a lot of stuff. I am teased by my family for "always throwing everything away, if it's left out", but as I go through our stuff I have found this is definitely NOT true and I am doing my best to remedy the situation. My poor trashman probably hates our house.

2.) I vividly remember why I swore to never move again. It is a pain and last time I didn't have a house to get ready to sell. D thinks I am going overboard, but it really is just stuff we have needed to do for YEARS! I really wish we would have painted last year like I had wanted, but I must admit it was pretty easy for D to talk me out of it. I mean who really wants to paint their house? Once we move, I am not moving again until it is time to go to the old folks home!

3.) With a third of my stuff in storage and all the rooms painted and sparkling, my house is looking great. It is exactly what I have wanted it to look like. I am sad to leave, but there is no doubt about it. We need more space in and out of the house.

4.) Thank Goodness we only have about 4 weeks left of "fixing" the house. Unfortunately, most of it is painting outside and finishing the fence. The heat and humidity will make this slow going, but I hope to finish it up in the next few weeks.

I can't believe our big month long trip is almost here. I want to try to time it so we sell our house before we leave and then move into our new one right after we get back. I doubt that will happen, but a girl can dream right. I am excited, and to be honest a little scared, about the trip. I am determined not to stress over it and whatever happens we will deal with as it happens.

The kids caught a stomach bug at VBS and we have had to deal with that this week. Luckily, D and I did not catch it, but all 3 kids did and I had to watch my sort of grand daughter and she will probably catch it too. It was 24 hours of misery for them. I am glad is was short lived. I felt really bad for them.

We also stayed at my in laws house to care for the animals why they were gone. It was easier than I thought though on the last day the longhorns got a little rambunctious at feeding time and my husband had to jump out of the way so he wouldn't be stabbed. The kids had fun helping out on the farm.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
