The Bunch Are Moving!

It has been a long crazy summer. We put in long hours getting the house ready, looking for our new house, and staying gone so our house could be shown.  I vividly remember now why I was never moving again. The constant stress is almost too much. Yep, we will be in our "new" house until the kids cart us down the street to the assisted living building.  We are a lot less stressed now. We are on our 2nd buyer and have passed the option period so we should be good to go.  Our first buyer was a new home owner and was nervous about the cracks in our walls, even though two inspectors said it was completely normal for a house this age and there were no exterior cracks.  However, it still made him "nervous". Luckily, the new buyers are not new home owners and accepted their inspector's opinion and we are moving!

We have been slowly going through and packing everything. I even found my warranty info in the attic for my Pentium 4 processor! Needless to say, that was thrown out, along with a hundred cd cases and other things that technology has now deemed useless.

The kids are finishing their last week of school this week before we pack it up to move and then head out on our big trip. The days move so slowly, but the hours in them so fast. It feels like it is taking forever, but at the same time it is coming too quickly and I won't have time to get everything done.  We did manage to squeeze a party in for two of the kids: T turned 8 and A is 13. I also had a birthday, but we don't need to discuss the age on that one!
We are about to be without Internet until we get back from our trip so it will be awhile until post again, but I will show pics of the new house and our fun trip next time!

We went out for Hibachi on my bday...yummy!

Kids even got Maisy in on the bday action.

T and L playing with D's old GI Joe stuff we found in the attic.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
