The Bunch Trip Day 10-15

Day 10...Today we leave the beautiful Grand Canyon. I will miss it. Luckily, we had one last chance to see a baby and 2 does wander right up to the campsite. The baby was so adorable I couldn't wait to show the girls. I opened the door to the trailer quickly while saying "girls come quick". Of course, Maisy was there with her I WILL SAVE YOU MAMA FROM THE EVIL BABY DEER attitude and rushed out the door to pursue, what were luckily not bucks, until they reached a safe distance of about a about a quarter mile away. Boy, that baby can run, Maisy is fast but the deer smoked her! At least, she didn't bark. Now, after all this excitement we are off to our brief layover in NV. We arrived in the mid afternoon. It is hot here and after the lushness of the Grand Canyon,  it seems rather barren.

The clear, freezing, cold Colorado River.

The Nevada campsite.

Day 11...Nevada maybe hot during the day, but it gets COLD at night. We are still dealing with the dog's bloody tail and the almost 2 weeks of constant companionship with NO real personal space is starting to work on everyone's nerves, but we are using to day to get stuff done. D already needs another oil change even though we got one right before we left. It must be all the dust EVERYWHERE. We went swimming in the Colorado River this afternoon, which much to my surprise was FREEZING and crystal clear. It was cold in a go completely numb in about 5 minutes kind of way. This was wonderful for my knee so I went to "ice" my knee twice today. After we went grocery shopping and got D's oil change, we even had time to bath the dog. It was a very productive stop.
Maisy is all clean and fresh now!

Day12...We have made it to Anaheim. The girls have been waiting for this stop. So far California is a dusty hole. The rv park we are staying at is literally a parking spot. Luckily, I booked the "deluxe" site so I got 2 parking spaces and a green space with a picnic table. The actual park is not too bad. It is clean and very close to Disney. The office help could be friendlier, but so far so could most Californians, southern hospitality is virtually unknown here. T and L are both sick now so Disney has been postponed 24 hours. Nothing is more fun than dealing with two kids throwing up in a pop up. This on top of still cleaning up after the dogs tail is getting tiresome.
The kids being miserable outside our "spacious" campsite.

Poor L still feeling miserable inside.

Day 13.... We took the day off so the kids could fully recover. We went to the park so they could play, while we walked the dog. The dog was NOT good at the park. Tomorrow's visit to the Disney Kennel should be interesting. We also used our time wisely and the boys got a haircut and we restocked the fridge. We also bought our Disney shirts while we were out.
These trees were really pretty.

Maisy was not good at the park!

Well, he proved me wrong. He was not too big, getting out posed a bigger challenge though.

Day 14...Maisy did so well! I am completely shocked. The kennel worker even commented on how quiet and good she was. Now to be honest I tripled her calming pills for today because sometimes she needs a little help! We decided to day to do California Disney Adventure and then tomorrow do Disneyland. It was ok. Universal Orlando was better in overall attention to detail, though cars land was very close to Universal quality. That and the California soarin were two rides that were worth the wait. And wait we did. Everything had at least an hour wait and this is mid week in the off season! I would hate to see peak times. There was a line to the rides, the bathroom, the exit, the restaurants, and I even had to wait 30 minutes just to get a churro from a food cart. I heard several people say how uncrowded it was and I couldn't believe it! THERE WERE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE! I hope tomorrow at Disneyland is better.
I could never do this with Legos!

They are ready to start the day!

The cars ride was FANTASTIC!

T does not ride the coasters, but L, A, and daddy had fun.

Cars Land was really neat, probably the best part of the park.

We like Monsters, Inc.

T loved the woody ears he bought.

The kennel area where Maisy enjoyed Disney.

Day 15... Disneyland was so much better! We had such a great time and before lunch the lines were only about 25 minutes long. However, after lunch the lines went back to their hour long wait and we had huge crowds. Surprisingly, the only time we really saw characters wandering around were when the parade was getting close to coming down Main Street. This morning was wonderful, but I think Harry Potter at Universal in Orlando is still our favorite of the two. Next stop is Sequoia National Park.
Toon town

My boys

Yep, it was really bright.

The main gate

The Haunted Mansion was made over into the The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton.

Look at the line!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
