The Bunch See Christmas Lights and Have Small Family Celebrations

It is finally here! The end of the horrible year 2020 and the celebration of my favorite holiday. While it was weird not having our huge baking day, overall the holidays were still wonderful. Instead of our big holiday get together with family, we opted for several small get togethers over a few days. I love hosting our usual big holiday parties. The kids and I plan the cookies, dinner, and spend a lot of time decorating. We really enjoy having everyone over, but once again thanks to Covid that didn't get to happen. It was great to see everyone for the holidays, but we really missed seeing everyone together at one time.   We went to Grandma's house. My brother and his finance joined us. C joined us too. We set the alarm for 6am to have Christmas before D went to work. T woke everyone up at 5:30. Christmas morning. The girls got aerial silks to go with their hoop. They were so excited! My granddaughter and daughter in law. He loves his festive Star Wars shirt. My girls 💕💕 The

The Bunch are Ready for Christmas...Mostly

Cookie held a campaign rally! All the gifts have been ordered (weeks ago) and most have already arrived. Unfortunately, there are three that will probably arrive after Christmas. Well, one definitely will and two others might. The pandemic is really messing up manufacturing, not to mention the shipping issues. We have been surprisingly busy considering all our shopping was pretty much done over the Thanksgiving holiday. We have made some cookies and watched several Hallmark Christmas movies, but we haven't gone to look at lights yet. We plan to this weekend and I can't wait. We are going to try the Radiance display this year in Decatur. I love drive thru light displays. Our favorite so far is in Sherman, TX. The display at Texas Motor Speedway is our second favorite.  Cookie had some trouble with the lights. She even stole a bite of our favorite apples! She fell asleep after making a card for Santa. She also stole our candy! In a surprise turn of events we adopted a kitten. My

The Bunch Enjoy the Holidays

My little reindog! And yes L had to hold her still so I could snap a picture! We were actually pretty busy this week. We went to my in laws house to help them get somethings done that they had needed/wanted done for awhile, worked on finishing school before we take our Christmas break, and visited various family members. In fact, this week's post is pretty short because I didn't take a lot of pictures (though I wish I would have, but was busy enough that I didn't even think of it). We have been spending pretty much every Saturday at my mom's house basically because she has Netflix. We canceled our Netflix subscription when we got our Disney+  subscription because we pretty much never watched Netflix. However, Netflix has several original Christmas movies we want to see. Every Saturday this month, we pack up and head to my mom's to binge watch the shows we want to see. My mom and I each take turns making lunch or snacks (sometimes both) for the Bunch. T usually goes

The Bunch are Christmas 🎄 Ready!

Merry Christmas!  Ok. The tree has been up for a couple of weeks now, but we also have hung our outside lights and finished the interior decorations. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I 💕 love 💕 baking cookies, looking at lights, curling up in warm pj's and watching cheesey Hallmark movies, and just spending time with my family. This year we won't be hosting our big family party, but instead having smaller more personable gatherings. We are tired of living life at home all the time, but it is what it is. Except for the decor change, it could be March still. I also bought 6 Advent calendars that we have had fun with. D and I have a wine Advent calendar which is fun. There is only twelve days for that Advent calendar so it is not a daily thing. However, we also have a Friends, Harry Potter, and 2 Williams Sonoma chocolate advent calendars. The kids have LOVED opening the calendars each night. They rotate to make it fair and whatever behind their door is theirs. The chocolates f
