The Bunch Enjoy the Holidays

My little reindog! And yes L had to hold her still so I could snap a picture!

We were actually pretty busy this week. We went to my in laws house to help them get somethings done that they had needed/wanted done for awhile, worked on finishing school before we take our Christmas break, and visited various family members. In fact, this week's post is pretty short because I didn't take a lot of pictures (though I wish I would have, but was busy enough that I didn't even think of it). We have been spending pretty much every Saturday at my mom's house basically because she has Netflix. We canceled our Netflix subscription when we got our Disney+  subscription because we pretty much never watched Netflix. However, Netflix has several original Christmas movies we want to see. Every Saturday this month, we pack up and head to my mom's to binge watch the shows we want to see. My mom and I each take turns making lunch or snacks (sometimes both) for the Bunch. T usually goes outside to play with Grandpa  during movie time unless it is a movie my Dad likes or has wanted to watch. He actually ended up really liking The Christmas Chronicles. About twice a month C shows up too and the kids will head off for a couple of hours to go geo-caching. It's been fun and the kids have enjoyed doing something a little different, but they are more than ready to go back to playing sports and  seeing their friends. A even said she missed going to T's basketball games since it was something to go do. Hopefully by March, things will be back to a more normal schedule.
Cookie was busy this week! She had a wii party.

She went camping with her friends

She made snow angels.

Poppop gave T a wii shooting game that he no longer played. T loves it!

Though in a more positive light, we have really realized how busy we were before and have been enjoying all the down time. I have felt less stress about making sure things get done because for the most part everything gets done and we still have ample time to help others or visit family (in a very limited capacity). My parents and my family LOVE to go to Branson, MO together during the Christmas season. I love that area (I did spend most of my summers as a youth there) and for Christmas the small town goes all out. We have already made plans to go for a week next year! To be fair though we were suppose to go this year. We canceled the year before because we had just returned from our 3 week Chicago trip and just really didn't want to drive that far. Now, thanks to Covid, we have to miss this year. A co-worker of D's did just go to Branson and said most things are still open, but we are just not that comfortable being so far from home just yet. Most of what we do are shows and amusement parks, and I am just not sure those will be as fun with Covid restrictions. I will say next year we are definitely doing Silver Dollar City. It has the best plays and Christmas lights. It also has cute shops. Oh, I can't wait!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
