The Bunch are Christmas 🎄 Ready!

Merry Christmas!

Ok. The tree has been up for a couple of weeks now, but we also have hung our outside lights and finished the interior decorations. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I 💕 love 💕 baking cookies, looking at lights, curling up in warm pj's and watching cheesey Hallmark movies, and just spending time with my family. This year we won't be hosting our big family party, but instead having smaller more personable gatherings. We are tired of living life at home all the time, but it is what it is. Except for the decor change, it could be March still. I also bought 6 Advent calendars that we have had fun with. D and I have a wine Advent calendar which is fun. There is only twelve days for that Advent calendar so it is not a daily thing. However, we also have a Friends, Harry Potter, and 2 Williams Sonoma chocolate advent calendars. The kids have LOVED opening the calendars each night. They rotate to make it fair and whatever behind their door is theirs. The chocolates from Williams Sonoma are so yummy! The Friends calendar has fun trinkets and the Harry Potter calendar has different candies from the movies, which so far everyone has really liked.

We are ready to start advent!

The Friends and the Harry Potter ones are the favorites.

Though Williams Sonoma does have good chocolate 🍫.

I bought Harry Potter Lemon Sherbet's for those who did not get candy in their calendar... basically I way overpaid for lemon drops.

Our wine Advent is cute. Each bottle has a different wine and a different design on the bottle.

It looks better in person. Our old icicle lights died so we replaced them with color changing LED lights. It fades from red to green.

We can also change the pattern on the roof lights... It's fancy.

A did finally finish making her gingerbread house 🏠.  I helped her "rebuild" the walls and then she waited a couple of days before she decorated it. Apparently, it is more enjoyable when the walls don't collapse. Cookie the Elf has also reappeared and is up to her normal Christmas shenanigans.

L had Cookie make a Chevrolet commercial.

T had Cookie help Santa!

A finally finished her rebuilt gingerbread house.

Our beautiful little ginger village.

D is always so very hard to shop for and his birthday 🎂 and Christmas are pretty much back to back so I need a lot of gift ideas. This year T did something very sweet. He decided to make a ditch around the spot where we burn hay so there would be a definite fire break. D had mentioned he wanted this done several times, but that he never had the time. So T bundled up- it was about 45 and windy- and spent over 10 hours over the course of 2 days making D his fire break. Digging in black clay is not easy, and he wore himself out doing it 100% himself. After it got dark I tried to help him shovel his extra dirt into the wheelbarrow to haul to the compost pile, but he wouldn't let me. He wanted to do it 100% by himself. He worked so hard in the cold. I was really proud of him. He said he knew now why dad had put that little project off. D hasn't been out to see it yet-nor does he know about it- so T is going to surprise him with his early birthday gift tomorrow when they go feed the horses together.  T is really excited. Update---D was really proud of T working so hard to do something nice for him and as soon as it isn't windy he is going to try it out . Having a break makes me feel so much better when we burn stuff!

He worked so hard!

It was quite the project.

We really appreciate all his hard work 😊

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
