The Bunch Celebrate L's Birthday!

Happy birthday 🎉🥳 I can't believe my baby girl turned 15 this week. I remember what a cute and pudgy toddler she was running around in her princess dresses. Now, she is a beautiful, young woman with a little bit of sass, but that will probably go away when she is past the teenage years. I only have 2 left in school for next year and L only has 2 years left of high school and then just the boy will be left. I feel it has all come full circle. I started with just a boy and I will finish with just a boy. I am so sad to know our time of making memories everyday with the kids is close to ending (6 years just doesn't seem like that long anymore). However, I am so excited to start my adventures with D. I am already counting down to his retirement in a little over 7 years. I tend to say I am going to see the world with him, but  it really will only the world that is in the 48 contigious states. I saw the most perfect shirt yesterday. It said "when I am older I don't want p

Boy Oh Boy! The Bunch Get Busy! Life is Starting to Feel More Normal.

The weather here has improved vastly since February. We lucked out and all our hard worked during that horrendous cold event paid off. All our pipes, including the trailer, are fine. Our calendar is ever so slowly starting to fill in and while I will miss all the down time that the pandemic created for us, I am so happy to start being able to do things again bit by bit.  We went camping for a few days last week at Lake Arrowhead State Park near Wichita Falls. Basically we went there because that was what I was able to get a reservation for. I checked 4 other parks before this one and they were completely booked up. As it was, we got the very last spot that was available for this park. Even though the park was EXTREMELY full, it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be. The rv spots were well spaced out and we had plenty of room at our site. This was baby kitty's first trip camping and she did even better than I hoped she would have! In fact, she was better behaved in the trail

The Bunch Are Ready To Get Back To LIFE!

Ok. We are ready to let the kids go out with their friends, shake hands with old friends, give family members hugs, watch sports games, and basically get back the lives that prior to 2020 everyone took for granted. It feels so close finally. We use to travel several weeks at a time and do all kinds of fun and different stuff frequently. We are just planning weekend get aways at state parks for this summer (whenever we can get in), but we plan to spend a week in Branson this Christmas season and we are all very excited about it. A is upset she might not get to go because of school, but that is just how it is. We will do something fun with her when she has some time available.  It is hard to grow up and get your own set of responsibilities that aren't just family related. We will miss her on the fun outings she won't be able to go on with us, but really appreciate the ones she can go on with us. T and I planted our starters this week for our garden. We planted 3 basil, 2 broccoli

The Bunch Are Enjoying the Warmer Weather!

The cat plays hide & seek with us. She is annoyingly good! Apparently, everyone is enjoying the warmer weather. With all the new rving families now, once again finding somewhere to go camp for a few days is very hard. I had to to check 5 different campgrounds before I managed to snag the last available spot at the last campground I checked. This wasn't even a reservation for a weekend! It was for a Mon. thru Weds. and more than two weeks away when I made the reservations. We are going to Lake Arrowhead State Park. We have never been there before, but I have wanted to check it out since they have a prairie dog town. I thought the kids would find that interesting. Since it was literally THE last spot anywhere, I figured now was as good as time as any to go check it out. It will be our first time taking our baby kitty (who is now more like a grown cat-at least size wise) camping with us. She will have her leash and harness on and a carrier in case she needs some "quiet time
