The Bunch Are Ready To Get Back To LIFE!

Ok. We are ready to let the kids go out with their friends, shake hands with old friends, give family members hugs, watch sports games, and basically get back the lives that prior to 2020 everyone took for granted. It feels so close finally. We use to travel several weeks at a time and do all kinds of fun and different stuff frequently. We are just planning weekend get aways at state parks for this summer (whenever we can get in), but we plan to spend a week in Branson this Christmas season and we are all very excited about it. A is upset she might not get to go because of school, but that is just how it is. We will do something fun with her when she has some time available.  It is hard to grow up and get your own set of responsibilities that aren't just family related. We will miss her on the fun outings she won't be able to go on with us, but really appreciate the ones she can go on with us.

T and I planted our starters this week for our garden. We planted 3 basil, 2 broccoli, 2 lettuce, 24 tomato, 12 okra, 6 pepper, 2 jalepeno, 6 cantaloupe, 50 carrots, and 50 corn. It sounds like a lot, but we plan to freeze a big part of it and jar several quarts of homemade marinara sauce. Making homemade marinara sauce last year was, surprisingly, easy and it tasted phenomenal! It was hard on us last summer when we didn't have anymore tomatoes to make sauce. Last year we only had 3 tomato plants so with 24 this year, we should get a lot of tomatoes to make sauce with!
Our little baby plants.

I am not sure why, but the kitten loves Kleenex boxes.

We took A's senior photos this week and had some fun with it. She is FINALLY starting to get into the celebration of graduating. L is super excited she gets to have two friends come over for her birthday next week and has their iteinary all planned including what to serve at each meal. I am just excited that we get to get away for a few days and go camping. My parents have received their first vaccine shot. Life is good. Maybe 2021 will be better than 2020.
It was actually really hard to get the hat in the air.

Iris has to be part of ANYTHING we do outside. She loves people....well if they DON"T try to ride her!

Iris swore the board had to be some sort of treat.

So proud of this young lady.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...

The Bunch Celebrate T's 16th Birthday

Three Birthdays in 10 days I cannot believe the baby of the family is 16! Actually, I can't believe they are all as old as they are. C will be 31 this year, A turns 21 tomorrow, L is 18, and little baby T is 16! It has been a wonderful ride and I was very blessed to be able to spend 24/7 with my kids while they were little. I have wonderful memories of all the times we shared. While the last year has been the hardest of our lives, it's been nice to see us all rally together and we have become even more appreciative of each other. T will just randomly stop to hug us and tell us he loves us.🥰 A is so very helpful and thoughtful and C is great about calling and keeping us updated on how they're doing way out in Bonham. I love my kids! We have decided to give pickleball a try as a family. Considering we've never even watched a game, our first lesson should be interesting!  He has gotten so good at guitar! My parents celebrate our birthdays every year by treating us to di...
