The Bunch Have Regional Tournaments and Celebrate Grandma's Birthday

💗💕❤️My girls❤️💕💗 It has been a long week. Nay, a long basketball season. This week we had a regional basketball tournament. Once again, the boys didn't do very well and I think I have this figured out upon reflection. The first part of the season we were undefeatable. The boys did great and had great attitudes. What changed? About halfway through the season, the team got a new team mate, who is big like T and we assumed this boy would make an already amazing team even more invincible. However, this boy has a horrible, horrible attitude. He started with arguing with refs, then the opposing team's players, and finally now he yells at his own teammates (more like blames them for his own mistakes) and just walks off when the coach tries to talk to him. He is rude and unsportsmanlike. I do not like him and T doesn't either. T thinks he is a whiny baby. I honestly feel his horrible attitude has seeped through the team and effected all the players. I liken it to a bad apple.

The Bunch Barely Remember Austin, Was It Really Only Last Week?!?!

What a crazy long and tiring week! And for once  it was completely unbasketball  related.... mostly. First off, D has been ill for the past few months, but it really came to a head while we were in Austin. Luckily, he already had a specialist appointment for the Monday after we got back (we had scheduled this appointment 6 weeks out because that was when the doctor had his first available time). We aren't completely sure what exactly is going on with him since D was in so much pain during the exam that the doctor could not complete it. He just referred D over to a surgeon and we meet with him this week. I have been busy doing a lot at the house that needed catching up on. Even just going away for a few days creates a lot to catch up on in the horse pen. It already feels like last weekend was so long ago. T played his final regular season game this week and while we have played this team before with no issues, this time the team was crazy. Not nightmare team crazy, but close. Thei

The Bunch Go To Round Rock For State Tournaments

The team. They were pretty nervous being on such a big stage.  We left for the Austin area on Weds. It was cold windy and not very pleasant here, but by the time we got to our rv park in Austin the weather was pretty nice. I had heard a lot about how bad the ice storm last week was in Austin and how several areas are still without power. The Austin area received about one inch of ice accumulation during the latest winter blast and I will tell you that the damage is real. Most, but not all, places have power now, but the struggle to clean up is real. No kidding, EVERYWHERE you go is piles of downed trees and tree limbs. Some have been put neatly in piles and are awaiting pick up, but most have just been dragged off of streets and haphazardly put out of the way of traffic. Whole yards are nothing but piles of tree limbs. The RV park we stayed at said they were without power for two days and also had several trees that fell, but by the time we got there everything was fine. It was a nic

The Bunch Have A Week Forced Indoors Thanks To The Ice Storm

It was like an ice skating rink on our way out to check the horses. I was shocked the horses didn't slip and hurt themselves! This past week was pretty much spent spending time together as a family indoors. Thanks to all the freezing rain  all T's basketball practices were cancelled ( which was good because there was no way I was driving him there), A and D both had off from (technically A's work NEVER closes due to weather, but anyone uncomfortable driving in it can call in (whose comfortable driving in ICE!?!?, apparently, 3 vet assistants out of 10, 1 vet tech out of 4 and 1 vet out of 5), and we basically just stayed indoors watching movies and playing the Wii. Since it wasn't super cold, the chickens were able to stay outside and did not have to be moved to the garage, which was nice except we did have to go out a couple of times a day and check their water (and the horses water). Other than that, we had a pretty relaxing week. It was so nice to have power throug
