The Bunch Barely Remember Austin, Was It Really Only Last Week?!?!

What a crazy long and tiring week! And for once  it was completely unbasketball  related.... mostly. First off, D has been ill for the past few months, but it really came to a head while we were in Austin. Luckily, he already had a specialist appointment for the Monday after we got back (we had scheduled this appointment 6 weeks out because that was when the doctor had his first available time). We aren't completely sure what exactly is going on with him since D was in so much pain during the exam that the doctor could not complete it. He just referred D over to a surgeon and we meet with him this week. I have been busy doing a lot at the house that needed catching up on. Even just going away for a few days creates a lot to catch up on in the horse pen. It already feels like last weekend was so long ago.

T played his final regular season game this week and while we have played this team before with no issues, this time the team was crazy. Not nightmare team crazy, but close. Their coach was EJECTED during the 3rd quarter and 4 players fouled out! The game lasted over an hour and a half and was just NOT what I needed this week. T played awesome though! It was one of his best games( not scoring wise, but overall) and when he decided to take the charge foul and flatten one of the other team's players who had been unnecessarily rough to some of our team, I have to say I was a little proud. Don't mess with the big guy!  It was petty of me, but that game was just a lot to take in and I feel like they got their Just Desserts.

We did have a little fun this week with a Valentines Day Party. We took the day off of school (but made it up on Saturday) , played minute to win it games, and enjoyed some homemade pizza. It was a nice escape for a few hours.

Trying to pick up metal nuts with chopsticks is harder than you would think!

Even T struggled.

We also had to balance dice on a popsicle stick.

D won the chopstick challenge.

I will let everyone know what the surgeon says this week. T also has regionals this week in Frisco. It promises to be another long week.

I think I may have just taught my kids to play beer pong 🤣

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
