The Bunch Have Regional Tournaments and Celebrate Grandma's Birthday

💗💕❤️My girls❤️💕💗

It has been a long week. Nay, a long basketball season. This week we had a regional basketball tournament. Once again, the boys didn't do very well and I think I have this figured out upon reflection. The first part of the season we were undefeatable. The boys did great and had great attitudes. What changed? About halfway through the season, the team got a new team mate, who is big like T and we assumed this boy would make an already amazing team even more invincible. However, this boy has a horrible, horrible attitude. He started with arguing with refs, then the opposing team's players, and finally now he yells at his own teammates (more like blames them for his own mistakes) and just walks off when the coach tries to talk to him. He is rude and unsportsmanlike. I do not like him and T doesn't either. T thinks he is a whiny baby. I honestly feel his horrible attitude has seeped through the team and effected all the players. I liken it to a bad apple. If you don't throw it out, it will turn all the other apples bad. The boys went from having fun and enjoying basketball ball, to complaining about the refs at every game.  I really hope this player decides NOT to make the trip to Nationals with us. I think everyone will play better without him.

D is doing better. He starts back to work on light duty in another week. Basically, he will work a week and then we have vacation for another week.  Well, technically it's a basketball tournament, but I am squeezing in a mini vacation too. I hope. We are only scheduled to have one game a day, but they said that about Austin too and one day we had three games. I have my heart set on finally visiting the Springfield aquarium and one way or another that's happening.

L got her cap and gown in the mail this week and we are all set for her graduation ceremony in Allen in April. I can't believe I am down to just one kid still in school. Life goes by so fast! One of the moms on T's team has two little girls about ages 5 and 3. They remind me so much of L and A that it makes me realize how long ago it was that they were wearing princess dresses to C's football games!

A has been a little overwhelmed this semester with school. One of her classes requires her to make several video projects that has her stressed out and having to take care of the animals while we're gone kind of pushes her over the edge. Plus tomorrow we are getting 9 new baby chicks so she will be really busy the week we are gone with taking care of the animals, working, and doing school.  She might even take the summer off this year just so she can have a break.

Kinsey is so helpful with trying to open my mom's gift.

Even C came over to celebrate with us. It was like the old days with all my kids there having dinner at Grandma's house.

The candles were neat. They had different color flames.

The kids had to have a picture to prove I actually willingly parked in the first spot. I always park way out in the parking lot, but HEB had huge spaces so I was willing to park close. Since Austin, we are huge HEB fans! Luckily, the last tournament was in Frisco so there was one only a mile away. We had to go after our last game, even though it was pretty late.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...
