The Bunch Take T To Prom

My handsome boys!💗 It was FINALLY T's turn to experience the magic of prom. It was so great when the girls went I was really hoping that T's would be be just as neat. At first, I thought he wouldn't want to go, but then at almost the last minute he decided he wanted to. Some of his old basketball friends were going so he thought it would be fun. Every parent is required to have a certain number of volunteer hours per ticket that they purchase since I spent several hours making tea and souvenirs for the girls tickets this time it was D's turn. He volunteered to be on the security detail on the night of prom so as a bonus I didn't even have to go, which worked out well since I literally stayed up ALL night long the night before with Axl so the boys could get some good sleep before prom. I discovered I am way too old now to pull an all nighter. It was rough! After the boys left around 1 pm to head to prom I fell asleep on the couch for about 3 hours.  They had to be t...

The Bunch Celebrate Easter

I was so tired, but egg hunting is just so fun! I see why the kids love it. T won AGAIN. I came in second. Poor A. It wasn't even close. This year is just flying by! It feels like we just celebrated Easter and here it is already again. The hens have been laying really well so we had plenty of eggs for Easter. We prefer to use food dye to color the eggs as opposed to the egg dye kits with the tablets. We think it just makes more vibrant colored eggs. The kids and I dyed eggs together on Saturday. A let me know she wasn't drawing on them this year because it makes her sad when we destroy her drawing and eat the egg. Fair enough. I thought T didn't want to either, but when he realized I drew on my eggs without him he got upset and said we were supposed to do that together. He literally drew on his eggs as I was shelling them.😂Dually noted, I will make sure to inform him next year when it's time for egg drawing. My kids love tradition so any deviation is usually not well...

The Bunch Enjoy The Nice Weather And Go Camping

The park was mostly empty, but even if it wasn't the sites are huge and it still would have been enjoyable. What a difference a week makes! As quickly as the crazy cold, rainy weather came in, it left again, leaving behind beautiful, temperate, sunny days. We took the opportunity of a few nice days and the fact D FINALLY had a no training weekend and set out to do some camping. This was actually a "working" trip for all of us. The main point of this trip was not for us to enjoy hiking and relaxing, but so we could introduce Axl to the camper and camping way of life. We fully expected a melt down and for us to get no sleep. I even packed ALL of his anxiety meds. We have been practicing with both dogs riding next to each other on their pads in the back of the suv for awhile now. We only were going about 2 hours away so we knew that the car ride would be fine. The big question mark was Axl's behavior while camping. He loathes going to the bathroom on a leash so I defin...

The Bunch Head To The Rodeo

It was COLD 🥶  First off, this will be a short post since our wifi went out in the rain on Saturday afternoon and we won't have it fixed until at least Thursday so I am trying to do this all on my phone. The most important thing that went on this week was C continuing to heal. Back to back heart surgeries aren't easy and the healing is a little slower this time. He said that after about 5 days the pain is about half of what it was and the most painful part is sitting and standing, so basically lying down is good. His wife, H, says he is getting a little better everyday and that the best part is he has had NO episodes! Time will tell how well it works, but so far it seems to be very promising. After he gets use to it, he should be able to get back to a fairly normal life. He won't be doing marathons or anything, but I don't think he ever really planned on that anyway. I just hope he can live a long fairly normal painfree life now. A, T, D, and I went to go see the cou...

The Bunch Have A Week.....

The hospital was actually really nice. It sold sandwiches and other food, provided Wifi, and had free valet parking. It better. They billed the insurance company $83,000! Healthcare is out of control!!!! There were so many ups and downs this past week that it's hard to know where to start. I guess we'll start with the most serious and that would be with C. He had his ablation this week. Well, he was supposed to. Let's back track a little. C had known his surgery was scheduled for March 23 for about 2 months. He had been reluctantly excited about getting "fixed" and not dealing with the crazy episodes and feeling horrible. He had been to the emergency room numerous times in the past few months because of his heart issues. He was scared to leave the house and go to work functions because he honestly never had any clue as to when he would get an episode. He could just be sitting there and have his heart rate jump to 185 for minutes on end and then plummet to 43, le...
