It was COLD 🥶 |
First off, this will be a short post since our wifi went out in the rain on Saturday afternoon and we won't have it fixed until at least Thursday so I am trying to do this all on my phone. The most important thing that went on this week was C continuing to heal. Back to back heart surgeries aren't easy and the healing is a little slower this time. He said that after about 5 days the pain is about half of what it was and the most painful part is sitting and standing, so basically lying down is good. His wife, H, says he is getting a little better everyday and that the best part is he has had NO episodes! Time will tell how well it works, but so far it seems to be very promising. After he gets use to it, he should be able to get back to a fairly normal life. He won't be doing marathons or anything, but I don't think he ever really planned on that anyway. I just hope he can live a long fairly normal painfree life now.
A, T, D, and I went to go see the county youth rodeo this weekend. We went a couple of years ago and had so much fun! We tried to find tickets last year to go, but never could. However, this year when we went to the local feed store to get animal feed, they had some! Unfortunately, it ended up coinciding with tons of rain and crazy cold weather. At least they moved it from the fair grounds to the Cowboy Church so the arena was covered. However, it was bone chilling cold and the metal bleachers didn't help. It still was a fun time, but it was definitely more enjoyable when we weren't freezing to death! I still plan to go again next year if we get tickets.

The arena was super nice. |

The poles are fun to watch. Only a couple had a clean run and one was in the 12U group! |

They had mutton busting, but the little tikes always fell off crying before I could even push the button on the camera. This was calf busting for the slightly older kids. This calf just went out and layed down! The kid stayed on the whole time though!😂 |

Poor kid got stepped on! |

T finally had nice enough weather for my parents to come over for his Home Ec final. He has to plan, prepare, and execute a dinner party, though technically we do lunch. He did a good job! |

We all enjoyed it! |
