The Bunch Goes to Spring Fling

The kids just finished the egg hunt.

Getting ready for the egghunt.
Isn't she cute with no sound?
It is a tradition at T's school to close the school the Thursday before Good Friday and have a carnival. We have participated in this the past 4 years. It is a huge event. They have face painting, balloon animals, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses, train rides, and the highlight which is the raffle baskets. Each raffle ticket is only $1 and some of the baskets are worth upwards of $300. This is our second year to win a basket. We won 4 tickets to the Dallas Zoo, 4 tickets to the Ft Worth zoo, 4 monthes of Taekwondo plus a uniform, disposable grill, picnic blanket, two portable folding chairs, and a nice big cooler with wheels. The girls wanted the nintendo 360 basket or the american girl basket, but instead they got the camping basket, which works for me because we have a big camping trip coming up. It was a gorgeous day. I am sure to remember how beautiful and sunny it was for the next 7-10 days while I wait for my sun burn to heal enough for me to comfortably wear clothing. I am also stuck wearing one necklace in particular because the outline of where it was is still VERY white. I have since put a bottle of sunscreen in my purse so this won't happen again. Luckily, the kids were fine. I hope everyone goes to church on Easter for what is sure to be the best sermon of the year. The girls are in the choir and having been practicing since Christmas so I cannot wait to see their performance! Blessings to everyone.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June ...

The Bunch Are Off To A Wonderful 2025 And Are Considering A Change 🤔

It's official, she has a college diploma!! Besides totally enjoying a drama free year, we have been consciously spending time doing things as a family and spending time with each child doing things they enjoy. D has been playing ball and watching movies with his larger "mini me" while A and I have been spending a lot of time in Dallas going to the theatre. A absolutely loves going to see off Broadway productions! I won't be surprised in the slightest if she ends up getting season tickets. Dallas Broadway does a lottery to each show where if they draw your name you have 3 hours to buy tickets for $39 each including all fees! That is an absolute steal! She actually won the lottery on Tuesday so we went that night to see the production of "& Juliet". The seats she won were FANTASTIC! They don't give you cheap seats in the back for the lottery. You win good seats. The seats we ended up with worked out to be only about a quarter of the regular price! We h...

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though...
