L Goes Toothless!!

My first tooth
L looses another tooth.
L has been losing her teeth right and left lately. I was really proud of myself for the last one though. Just ask D. I DO NOT PULL TEETH! EVER! However, this week it was unavoidable. L had thrown her fit to her dad the night before when he had tried to pull her tooth so he had sent her to bed. Fast forward to lunch the next day and over a special treat of pizza...and you guessed it: disaster struck. L looked at her crust and finger and noticed a lot of blood on them. I saw her tooth was completely red and immediately took her away from the drapes and upholstery and lead her to the bathroom. I did what any good mom would do.....I told L she had to pull it out immediately so we could stop the bleeding. She cried, I cried, and we both realized that was in fact NOT going to happen. Since I knew that time was of the essence, I did what I could no longer avoid, I yelled down the hall to my 8 year old daughter to hurry and come pull her sister's tooth. I believe the exact response was "Mom, I'm sorry, but I am not going to do that." At this point, I am becoming concerned because I am not entirely sure that the 3 year old can do it and I am running out of kids to ask since the 18 year old is at work. He would have done it. I decided that daddy really wasn't that far. We could pile in the car chase down his police cruiser and he could do it. Daddy didn't answer his phone. Just like some criminal to ruin my back up to my back up plan. I am slowly realizing it is going to have to be me. I grab a wash cloth, close my eyes, and give it a little pull. NOTHING! Didn't daddy say it was so loose he would barely have to touch it? Guess what, it wasn't that loose. I open my eyes, reposition the cloth, close my eyes again and pull HARD. IT WAS SO GROSS. I felt each strand snap one by one. The tooth came out and I was so excited I started screaming. Too bad L didn't realize that it was a happy I really did it scream. All she saw was mommy with a blood stain cloth screaming hysterically at her. So she joined in my hysterical screaming for a completely different reason. I finally managed to get out "I did it, I did it!!!" and her response was priceless. She immediately stopped wailing, clapped her hands, and said, "Yeah, Mommy." I am very proud of my  L's tooth. A asked me later, "so now are you going to pull teeth?" Let me think..........ABSOLUTELY NOT! However, I did learn I can pull a tooth in a life or death situation. Does she really have 2 more loose?

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
