I have always loved change. I rearrange furniture on a consistent whim, I constantly go to new places, I have everything from a Bachelor's in Psychology to a valid real estate sales person license, and I have experimented with just about every color of hair dye that is out there. However, I do those things because I want to. None of it has been a necessity, at least not up until this point. I am currently at the crossroads of my adult life. Where is all this coming from? It originated from a single gray hair over a year ago. I had my inevitable realization of my own mortality after discovering it, but I have to be honest, I really did not see this as much of a problem, yet. I had my small heart attack, pulled it out with tweezers, and went on my way. However, pulling the hair apparently angered it and several more grew back in its place. So, I pulled more. This has gone and on. Now, over a year later, I am realizing I can't spend 10 minutes pulling gray hairs EVERY MORNING. I have super thick hair, but even I notice it is starting to become a lot thinner. So back to the struggle at hand. Do I fight the aging or let the grays creep in? On one hand, letting them creep in would be like befriending the enemy. On the other hand, dying my hair because I HAVE to makes it more of a chore than doing it for fun. Do I really need more chores in my life? I have yet to decide, but if you see me in a new color you will know which route I have taken.
On another note, the bowling we took the kids to last time probably would have been fun IF it was just our kids. Instead, this was an end of the year party for our home school group and who knew that 50 kids, most under the age of 8, bowling together could be problematic. Yeah, I should have seen it coming, However, silly me thought that parents would actually pay attention to what the little ones were doing. This was NOT the case. The parents just talked and the kids followed no kind of order and were EVERYWHERE. We left after about an hour and a half and went to Bass Pro, just for some peace and quiet. Next time, we will take a smaller group or just our kids.
Today, we are doing the Sea Life Aquarium adventure. I'll let you know how it goes.
