VBS Survior 2012!

We had a fun, albeit long, week of VBS. This year I did NOT do the toddlers. Last year I had 14 toddlers ranging from 12 months to 2 years. I have never felt so exhausted and that includes walking the ENTIRE island of Grand Cayman, as I did after 3 hours with 14 toddlers. I had a first grade class this time. I had 21 in our group, but usually only 16 showed up on any given day. I will have John 14:6 in my head, along with several VBS songs, for the next few days. 300 kids can be VERY loud. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I am fairly certain I will do it again next year. God has blessed my life in so many wonderful ways and I enjoy teaching the young ones how great His love is.
       A. has been enjoying her horse classes. We have been thinking about joining 4H, but haven't decided completely. After her class yesterday, we figured while we were up that way we would cool of at the beach at Ray Roberts. The water felt great and the beach was fairly empty. We played for about 2 hours, but that proved to be too much sun for T and unfortunately he got sick in the car on the way home. On the agenda this week is Tea Time at the American Girl Doll Store, a splash park, IKEA (kids love the play area), and who knows what else. We try to enjoy each day as much as possible.

Kids frequently have a roller derby.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
