Summer Flies By

I cannot believe that summer is almost done. We will start back to school the first week of August. We have been busy the past couple of weeks. We attended the Independence celebration in Coppell. It was a lot of fun. The kids jumped in bounce houses, rode a train, got balloon animals, and danced to the live band. This year they handed out 3D glasses to view the fireworks with. The kids loved it and so did we.
We also had tea at the American Girl Doll Cafe again. I ordered each of us a dessert sampler there and expected it be pretty small because lets face it, places like that charge for the ambiance not the food. I was wrong though. We had huge servings. Next time, we will all share a couple of dessert plates. The kids weren't even able to consume all that sugar and definitely did not need it.
We put a little pop up pool in the backyard for the kids. They love it. On that same note, I never realized my yard was so unlevel. It took many bags of dirt to achieve a mostly level pool.
AJ is finished with her horse classes and has a good foundation of proper horse care. She really want us to get a horse, but I never want to own one. They tie you to your house too much and I love to travel. However, I will occasionally spring for a trail ride around the lake.

D plays with the kids.

AJ rides on Winnie.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
