The Bunch Deals with Oral Surgery and a Trip to the Great Wolf lodge

D after we got home from oral surgery.
It is not often that two members of your family have to have oral surgery at them same time, but AJ and her dad did. AJ needed to have a frenectomy before the orthodontist could take off her braces and D was having a tooth pulled because he is "never having another crown again". While not comfortable, both were fairly easy procedures where gas was used instead of sedation. I had to bring AJ's youngest brother and sister with me because hello I home school where else could they be if dad was here too. Lucky for me Dr. Steele has an awesome surgery room with a huge built in bench that we could all sit on and watch AJ have her surgery done. Lucky for the kids that they behaved and didn't once get off that bench! She was really funny on the gas! Dr. Steele took time going between our room and her dad's and in about an hour we were all ready to leave. AJ had no issues with her stitches and was pretty much back to normal almost immediately. Daddy however had considerably more pain. I think he was milking it so he could play angry birds on the tv all day!

Us leaving the indoor waterpark.

After recovering for about 5 days we headed to the Great Wolf Lodge to play before the tickets I won expired. It was a lot busier than I anticipated for a Monday at 1:00pm. Don't people have to work and go to school? We had a great time, but after a couple of hours we were very tired and hungry so we left. Last time we went was in January and while the water is warm then it was really cold leaving. This time it was almost 90 out so it just felt refreshing on the way to the car.

The youngest has only 2 more times left to go to preschool next week and then he will start being home schooled for kindergarten. I have to admit I am a little scared. The girls and I have our school routine down to an art and T tends to be a little high strung. I already know it will be a battle of wills......I hope I win. :) We start summer trips next week so check back in a couple of weeks to hear all about the first one.
It was so pretty out that we went to the park to play instead of church.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
