The Bunch do Halloween, a Birthday, and Thanksgiving

No, this is not a Halloween photo, but that required the TB and what can I say......I'm lazy, so enjoy a Christmas picture.

Okay, I promise my first resolution in the New Year will be to update more regularly. It never feels like it has been as long as it has. First things first. The kids decided that they rather do door to door trick or treating this year instead of our church's Fall Festival. The church for the first time was doing a trunk or treat instead of their typical festival. However, the kids use the opportunity of Halloween to stock up on candy for the rest of the year. They feel that door to door trick or treating yields better results. I got T a pirate costume that he was just adorable in, but since the girls are older I made them an offer. I could either buy them a new Halloween costume or they could go as something we already have and use the costume money to purchase new clothes. Needless to say they both opted to get new clothes and wore some of their ballet costumes we had laying around. I think everyone still looked great and we had a fun 1.5 mile trick or treat route that yielded full bags of candy.
This is the actual birthday picture.

My oldest baby turned 20 on Nov. 8. I cannot believe he is out of his teens. It seems like only yesterday he was 7. He wanted mexican food for his birthday so we went to El Fenix and then came home and ate a honey bun cake I had made. We gave him what every college kid needs.....money!

Yep, the first Thanksgiving Day casualty was mine.

My nephew is a great photo bomber!

This year was the first Thanksgiving in 5 years that my husband did not work. Our normal routine had been to do a 5k then watch the parade and dog show while eating the take out I picked up the day before. This year we went to my in laws and had Thanksgiving with 19 people. it was wonderful. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins and we got to catch with everyone and see how they were doing. I did not realize how much I missed a real Thanksgiving until we did it.
We are now all decorated and ready for the Christmas holidays. I can't wait for all the holiday fun!

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
