The Bunch Get Back in the Swing of Things

Okay. It has been really hard for us to get use to regular school days after such a great Christmas break.  The kids have started a homeschool PE class, which the two youngest really love, but that A has decided she doesn't really care for, though I can't really blame her.....if I kept getting pegged in the face during dodge ball I probably wouldn't like it either. However, if she doesn't participate in the class she gets to go jogging with me and apparently dodge ball is the lesser of two evils.
I received a fit bit for Christmas and I have to say it is way harder to get my 10000 steps than I thought. We walk the dog almost a mile and a half everyday and unless it happens to be my jogging days I am still doing laps around my house trying to get that stupid thing to buzz that I have reached that elusive number for that day. The dog has decided I am crazy and no longer follows me through my random laps through the house.  It annoys me that any exercise other than jogging or walking isn't counted as activity by my fit bit. I guess I could manually log it, but it still doesn't count toward my steps so why bother.
The weather has been so beautiful lately that D has been replacing fence panels. OK truth be told I "strongly suggested" he enjoy the outdoors while replacing fence panels, but in all fairness they did need replacing and the weather is great. We only have been doing a couple at a time so it hasn't been to bad....regardless of what my hubby says. As he himself said" I hate the way I love that you push me."  Get ready to really love me because I want a screened in porch, firepit, and barn style shed!
All in all things are great here. Only A has gotten sick. To those of you stuck inside because you lost your car in a snow drift,we will think of you tomorrow while in our shorts outside enjoying our 72 weather.Hey,  you can gloat about your weather in August and September while we are melting.

L poses for a pic
A has been pretty sick all week, but still has been a trooper.
My wonderful hubby surprised me with flowers. I love it when he does that because he hardly does!
A and I goofing off before church.
I surprised her with sealants...lucky her right?
Poor Maisy has to get use to the head harness because of her bad behavior on the leash....she hates it.
T learned how to get playdough to light up lights....pretty neat.

The Bunch Have A Hard Week

This was actually part of T's present. He had been begging D to do it.😂 It only stayed around a short while. After throwing such a fun and memorable birthday party for T at the lake with his basketball buddies, we have decided to part ways with the basketball organization. I cannot get past that evil man being anywhere near us or people I care about. I did make sure to give everyone a fair warning about the evil man and they can now hopefully make an informed decision about their level of involvement with him. I don't think T's too bothered by it. He didn't want to play this year anyways, but I had originally really wanted him to be around his friends. I am not sure what we will do instead, but I know he is happy to NOT have to run. He hates running. I am basically just feeling completely defeated. I trust no one and have a complete LACK of faith in police officers and lawyers. I know my husband is a good officer, but that's about it and the count is on until June

The Bunch Enjoy Easter

The Bunch ready to head to church to celebrate Easter. We had a wonderful Easter. The kids and I dyed eggs together. T made a fairly intricate Guns N Roses logo egg while A and I just enjoyed making pretty eggs. We have discovered that using food coloring makes for way brighter eggs than using the horrible Easter egg dye kits from the store. I participated in the egg hunt with the kids this year. It was so much fun! We laughed so hard as we all ran around trying to beat each other. Afterwards, we had our traditional egg gravy and went to church. We enjoyed a ham dinner and watched HOP. It was a great day.  T worked a long time on this egg. It was by far the most intricate egg he has ever done. He did a fantastic job! T actually fell down (you can tell by grass on his knee), but he wasn't going to lose no matter what! We had so much fun and laughter! It was great!! All smiles on our way to church. It was a little early still for A. The week has been pretty good. Better than I though

The Bunch Celebrate Valentine's Day And Grandma's Birthday

Obviously, now that my kids are all pretty much grown Valentine's isn't as big of deal to them. However, in keeping with tradition, not to mention the fact T still wanted out of school for the day, we still had a mini party.  I told them that this year I wasn't going to get them any candy, normally I get balloons and special treat for each of them, but this year I just wasn't feeling it so I decided I would buy them all pizza (a treat since I rarely allow pizza) and I had some little Bundt cakes to celebrate with. They all said they were fine with that. L doesn't really do sweets, A doesn't like chocolate, and T doesn't like truffles, but they all like pizza. We took the day off and fortunately didn't have any basketball related stuff. No practice, no games, a rare no basketball day. We watched a movie, played some minute to win it games, and just basically enjoyed a nice low key day.  I remember the old days when they were little and we would all make
